  The Effects of JW Child Abuse into Adulthood

  my two oldest brothers, jim and ron, were coerced into baptism when they were but 10 and 11 years old.. .

  they were indoctrinated heavily, of course, and they tried to toe the line and be good little jw boys as best two unruly fatherless boys could.

  the nature of a boy won out and they both got into some mischief about a year later.

  PC, if you want to go read through my posts, the journey from DF'd dub to Ex-Dub to just Dana took a long time.

  It takes time and mental/emotional support to get through it. I shudder to think what would have happened to me had I not found this place and made friends who had been through the same childhood. It was an eye-opener.

  My best friend pulled my mind out of it. I was df'd when I was 18, but still believed they were right. My friend started reading and she would call and tell me "look up this" and "look up that". We read the bible together and compared notes, everything I had been taught from birth was proved false. Talk about an epiphany!

  Tammy, it's amazing that when you actually sit and read the bible without the publications all of the WT doctrine simply falls apart and is proved false.

  They have firmly placed themselves above Christ to the rank and file.

  i was so pleased to see the actual cards that caused all the trouble, after wanting to see it for so long, that i post it today.. first, the background in case anybody does not know the terrible events that happened.

  in the late 1960's to early 1970's jehovah's witnesses were cruelly persecuted and subjected to the worst possible beatings, rape torture and death.

  I remember Malawi and the letter writing going on the late 70's, too. This is one the absolute most upsetting things I learned from reading C of C.

  Me too, Flyin'. I was born in 1968 but I VIVIDLY remember the horror stories from Malawi. I remember going home from the meeting as a pre-school child scared shitless. THIS was what we could expect in the near future! And we might be called upon to stand up for Jehoover in the same manner. THEN to read that the Mexican witnesses could just pay an official and get a military card and avoid prison.

  Remember how many were sent to prison during the WW2 and Viet Nam era in the United States?

  Seems to me it's about damn time some other countries put down some unrest. The UN normally sits with its thumb up its collective ass.

  If Obama had been quick to act to help the rebellion, all the Arabs would be more pissed at us than they already are. Now they can spread the hatred around a bit more evenly.
