with this in mind, i would like to ask you if you are happy, with your current life, if not are you working towards it?
there is a decent size group of ex-jws and jws who have "checked out of this existence" mentally, and allow shi**y people to screw their brains up.

Her death makes me sad. Twenty years ago, she seemed to have it all.
You can blame drugs, but it takes a certain feeling of hopelessness or loss of direction to fully embrace that lifestyle.

Sad to hear about Whitney, although not really surprised. I had hopes that she would pull it together too. Such a wonderful voice and beautiful face. I've been missing her for years.

Dealing with elders during my mom's surgery
by noni1974 inmy mother has been working forwell over a year to have a gastric bypass and she finally got the ok from her doctor and insurance.
the date is set for this coming friday.
although, i'm not 100% sure this will happen because she was diagnosed with pneumonia and a partially collapsed lung this past week.

Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs

one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

I don't know of anyone personally who committed suicide. I've known a couple of people who did and it was not JW related.
There have been far too many stories related on this board of people losing brothers, sisters, uncles, mothers, fathers, friends to suicide because they couldn't deal with the JW lifestyle but didn't know how to get away and make real friends.
Several of the friends I've made here have considered it at times, but thankfully, we were all too strong to go down that road.
The first time I wanted to die, I think I was 12 years old, the first time I really didn't want to die I was around 39. Twelve is a hard age for anyone, but add a JW mother who was hell bent and determined that I not lose my life at Armageddon--and a non-believing father that I was SURE to lose at Armageddon............mentally, I just threw my hands up.

Any one watch Season Six of DEXTER on Showtime.. The doomsday killers...
by Tater-T in.. and all revelations stuff... it reminde me of the society ... when travis said to dr. gellar.." look at all the people they're all dead!
yikrs to familliar... so it did make me look to one of the only wts books around here..it's a red one... any way look up two witness in it .. cuz these two serial killers think they are... two paragraphs i new it was bs!!!.
back to dexter.. any way would love too talk, no one i know has showtime... face book page has two many people, although i did make a friend in aus, downunder..during season 2.. and i had some killer comments that got masive likes .. on requested takes... murder scenes from revelations.. where the killers were going to bring about the end .. by sacrifices.. murders.... so any one love a serial killer named dexter like me... i liken myself to him, it was how he has a dark passenger.... will talk any season, if you're behind on dvd.. the gal from aus, was behind tooo... l8r t8r.

DaCheech, that's what I'm wondering as well. He's always been a step ahead of her so far, but DAMN! She saw the kill! I'm kinda hoping she joins him, or else the show will go off the air.
Let's hope she was high and thinks she dreamed it. Or let's hope Dexter dreamed it and he hasn't really killed Travis yet.
The whole Deb being in love with Dexter thing is a little creepy. That girl seriously needed a father!

Dexter is awesome! I found out about the show during, I think, season 3. TheSilence told me about it. So I got the first 3 seasons from Netflix and have been hooked since then.

JW publicly reproved at 13, cruelly beaten and put into state custody!
by koolaid-man inwendy tucker was put on public reproof at 13 years old for rebelling against her jehovah's witness upbringing.
she alledges her jw elder father beat her terribly, actually breaking her nose for not wanting to follow the dictates of the watchtower organization.
he destroyed and threw out practically everything she owned as a young girl and he physically abused her to the point that the state of florida took her into custody at age 14.wendy's early years growing up in a jehovah's witness family is a constant reminder of how unloving jw parents can be to their own children wendy is now speaking out about how evil and cruel the watchtower organization is...... she is our guest on the six screens of the watchtower conference call sat.
