I drove through New Jersey once. I thought many parts were quite beautiful? Why does it always get such a bad rap?

The demons in Paris and NYC - More sophisticated than the ones in Timbuktu?
by nvrgnbk inremember the jw concept ( maybe it's a bible concept too) that different regions and nations are ruled by specific demons?.
i always thought that was funny.. like, are the demons in very superstitious regions "extroverted" and cantankerous, while the ones that promote materialism and atheism are more "subtle", sophisticated even?
which region does satan hang out in?.

A decision...
by changeling infirst of all, let me assure you that i am in my right mind and am not at all depressed.
in fact i feel a deep, quiet, inner happiness.. this decision has been running around my brain for a couple of weeks now.. my decision is one that honors how good and how beautiful life is.. i am deeply appreciative for life even though i do not know it's exact source.. my decision is to live a full, productive, and happy life.. my decision is to never be a burden to my family.. my decision is to terminate my life if at any time i do become a burden.. i hope to live to a "ripe old age", and to leave this life kicking and screaming for more.. but if at any time my life is marred by an accident or disease that is crippling, physically or mentally and that requires the sacrifice of my family to sustain my life, i will terminate my life.. i will make space on the planet for another person.. i will give my family the gift of freedom and of remembering me as a vital and healthy person.. i will not plague my family with having to force me to take a bath, or having to clean my excrement.
i will not burden my loved ones with having to rearrange their lives to sustain my misery.. i will leave a letter in which i will tell how much my family means to me and how i want them to live their lives to the full, just as i did.. i will tell them to move on and remember me fondly and be grateful they did not have to see my physical pain or mental anguish.. i will assure them that i died happy and fulfilled, that i have no regrets.. i hope never to have to face my decision.

If I am unfortunate enough to end up in a wheelchair unable to care for myself or speak, as my father did for the last 7 years of his life, I would hope that some kind soul could slip me a bye bye pill. Yea, I'm that selfish.
It seemed to make my mother happy to have him around to take care of, but the man was in misery, I know it, I saw it, I felt it. He would sit in his chair with tears streaming down his face. His life was nothing more than sitting in that chair. He had been the most physically active person I had ever known And a reader. He couldn't even do that. I find the idea that anyone would have wanted him to keep living, just to satisfy their sensibilities, the crueler and more selfish point of view.
I've had three physically healthy friends commit suicide. My only comfort, was that the were no longer in torment.

by B_Deserter ini cannot think of any worse place to have a convention than the pontiac silverdome.
for years my family went to south bend, indiana to avoid it.
then when south bend stopped having conventions (probably having something to do with the catholics not appreciating the brothers slamming the religion that financed, built, and hosts the lovely arena they were using), we tried madison, wisconsin for a year, before finally trudging back over to silverdome.

I should think that the demons would be sent out from a central location, to deal with their victims according to need. So, the more resistant and sophisticated the victim, .........etc. Each one according to his specialty.
