I also like where I live, but I lived in Vermont before I moved down south. I would move back to Vermont in a heartbeat if I could.

RF: Ok, maybe I'm missing something. Why is it that the sweet tea goes along well with being in the south?
Blackswan, I wondered the same thing. I'm a northern transplant (mostly midwest and sometime in Vermont) and the first thing I noticed besides southern accents was the quantities of sweet tea being consumed down here. Sweet tea has to be brewed, a popular tea they use is Luizzanne, sometimes Lipton. If you use try using Nestea powder, then you'll be labeled as a heathen! Here a couple of sites that talk about the history of southern sweet tea:

Hey Blackswan, the way my mom taught me was to add a couple of cloves, a couple of cardamom seeds (I don't know if I spelled this right, so please be easy on me Terry!), and a stick of cinnamon in the water then let it come to a boil. Add a Tetly tea bag and let it steep for a few minutes, then add milk and let it come back to a boil and voila! You have FadingAway style chai!

I usually buy used books and video games through the internet. I also get my nutritional supplements (protien powders and such) because prices are a little bit better than GNC or The Vitamin Shoppe.

down south it's sweet tea for me!
also while growing up in an East Indian household, I was pretty decent at making chai. I do drink it from time to time.

All Ex-Elders, Mr.Flipper going to Final MeetingW/Elders! I'll be careful!
by flipper inhello ex-elders, onthe wayout, snakes, and wilyloman, just to refresh about a month ago i told you all that the appeal committee had overturned the disfellowshipping decision by the original jc as the appeal committee got a hold of me by phone and told me the society gave them direction in this.
i have since explained the situation to my witness mom and dad, 80 &82, they are good with it.
i am taking copies of the counsel you ex elders gave to me to be careful about what i say at this "alleged encouragement" meeting and promise you this, i'll watch my words carefully when they ask me questions.

Mr. Flipper, you did very well in handling yourself!
," You know brother Flipper, when we join the organization we agree that the body of elders has authority. And if we are accused of a sin we have to cooperate with the elders as they have been appointed by Jehovah's holy spirit to take care of it. We show humility by cooperating. Even if myself as an elder were accused of something I'd even have to meet with the elders."
That made me sick. You stated to them there was no substance to having a jc yet he has the nerve you don't have humility...what a d*ck!
