  Yes, I think that something like that is a good example. Only caveat is if those first Christian's didn't know the true nature of God then they can only pass down disinformation to us which case we are dealing with a lie.
  
  If we assume that they did know the true nature of God then the path of least resistance would be to keep Kyrios which put's JWs in the lie.

  Your post infers that unless we are pure of mind, like a god might be, the truth can never be revealed to man.
  Maybe we as humans suffer from the Heisenburg's uncertainty principle.

  Path of least resistance means that the truth stares you in the face when it is not shrouded in lies and half truths. The truth is accessible to all - no great intellect is required.
  I had to read your post a couple of times to get into the meaning of your words. I don't think many of us have been to the place you are describing - the threshold above which the truth is revealed.
  I think what you have described can be seen as passing the criterion of path of least resistance because once you've reached this place the truth is revealed rather than have to perform say complex analysis of. The problem is getting there. Does that kill off the criterion
  I don't know if humans can operate outside of the consciousness their mind creates though.

  I getting the feeling that JWs don't have scholars!!
  
  I used to believe that JW "scholars" were the only ones that could understand the bible correctly. I put this down mainly due to me knowing more about the message in the bible than the average non JW and the usual things like christmas being pagan. I had only contempt for christendom's scholars as they couldn't see something as simple as the pagan origins of some celebrations and if the could they just brushed it under the carpet. That left me feeling that the JW scholars were superior.

  I suppose if the message in the bible is simple then you don't need scholars to interpret it. But that is not the way that the WTS presents the situation. They present it as a scholarly exercise for which they can only partake and yet they are not qualified themselves in high open thought.
  
  The JWD member Scholar seems to be convinced that the WTS is reeming with world class scholars.

  Explaining to JWs they are not a superior lot

  how would you explain to them that they are not really better than the rest of society and that their religion is not superior to serious christian religions?

  The problem is if you ask them this question their fake modesty would compel them to say that they don't think they are superior so you won't get very far.

  in syria, protesters have now burned the norwegian and danish embassys to the ground.

  the latest news is that they are rioting in copenhagen, denmark, where 200 moslems have stormed the sentral station (the railwaystation), and throwing bricks and rocks.

  You can say almost the same about the CIA. What percentage of the US population does the CIA represent. My perception is at least 50%. My perception goes further and it is that 50% of US citizens are terrorist sympathisers. So we have 150 million terrorist sympathisers.
