I'm afraid my mother was/is an extremely judgemental( almost psychotic) devout christian. I don't think I've met a more prudish person in my life - the plus side to this is I never became promiscuous, the downside is I missed out on normal relationships with girls as a teenager.
It's made very intollerant to judgemental, uncompromising women but goodness knows what negative effects it has had on me. I have to tread carefully when I do meet a girl that likes me and see how I act and respond to her. Hopefully I've not been damaged to the point where I can't have a long term relationship.

The difference between Islam and Christianity is at source. Christ's message was uncompromising spread of peace and love by his followers(at least until his judgement day when he will personally wipe out all unworthy people according to JWs) whilst Mohammed's message seems to be more about running people through with a sword if they don't agree with his doctrine. Islam is much more akin to Judaism. Mohammed was the type of Messiah the Jews were expecting, a warring hero, instead they got Jesus whose softly-softly approach didn't impress a people who built their nation on progroms and massacres against the Canaanite natives with Yahwehs's blessings.
There is undeniably big difference between the two doctrines. What happened to christianity after is another matter. -

This self-falsification would only hold true for those that have a religious belief that God is the Alpha and the Omega.
But your post has given me an idea (especially since as Abaddon puts it I don't believe in Canaanite goat herders' gods) and it is this: if evolutionists believe that the universe by it's very nature has produced physically complex biological systems that are capable of animation ie life then what is to say that the universe by its very nature could not have produced spiritual entities ie gods.

THe most accurate way I can explain the ego problem is simply that it is difficult to handle the feeling that the girl feels I'm not good enough for her, that I don't meet the mark. Thinking about it as I write it knocks my self-esteem.
The more I like a girl the more pronounced this feeling becomes if she does a U turn on me.
Your husband is absolutely right which is why I was so gutted when last year's girl could keep a cap on her nasty temper. -
