  in syria, protesters have now burned the norwegian and danish embassys to the ground.

  the latest news is that they are rioting in copenhagen, denmark, where 200 moslems have stormed the sentral station (the railwaystation), and throwing bricks and rocks.

  the Zionists,
  despotic Egyptians,
  the Turks to do their evil bidding on the Kurds,
  the christian Lebanese against the muslims,
  the US was looking to support the terrorist in Algeria against the secular government,

  i tried to show the nature of jehovah to my mother and neice by using the story of the levite and the concubine and the awful carnage of the innocents jehovah santioned as a result of one rape and murder (judges 19-21).

  they were both supporting jehovah's sanctioning of the murder of thousands of men, women and children.

  at one point they said that i was getting too precious about the murdered children, that they would inevitably become like their parents, 99% of whom were innocent in this story anyway, and that what good would it do to leave them alive if the bread provider was dead in battle, better to finish them off too.

  What really kills me is I now that this belief in god is all my mother has got and I'm trying to take that away from her. She's too old to contend with such heavy issues and she really believes that there is something good around the corner. I think I should just keep my mouth shut, it's not worth taking away her hope just to prove my point. I feel like a bastard.

  Thanks guys,
  I'll have to rationalise it to overcome the depressing feeling that came over me. It's hard to come to terms with a mother, my mother supporting wholesale infanticed in a desparate effort to sustain her belief in a god that ironically she believes is the embodiment of virtue and infallability. It was as though the mother I knew all my life had lost her mind - she was speaking like a mad woman that had lost her sense of descency and dignity.

  Stay out of the middle east anything can happen. Brits aren't very popular there right now. I was thinking of going to Jordan to see the desert and Petra just about the time when the bombs went off. Up until then I really thought that Jordan was safe. Now I don't see any middle eastern country as safe. Cyprus is as east as I'll get in the middle east.

  I'm not a friend of Islam but I think that the papers were very stupid to try to test the freedom of speech issue on the muslims. They were especially stupid for trying it with mohammed. There are some things you just leave alone and this is one of them.
  I think there is an agenda here on the part of the west and it is not about the freedom of speech. Maybe it's about preparing the Europeans for war with Iran. They've now seen the fury of Islam in Europe as espoused by the Iranians against the West this is a good reason to support the hawks that want war.

They could not besmrch their God's "righteousness" under any circumstances. I was listening to my mother talking like this and really hurt me. I really felt sorry for her.
  They funny thing is if i told them this levite story but changed the places and names, to say Inca, they would say how awful the Inca's gods and religion is. It's good that the Spanish Christainised them.
  
  My neice in order do back Jehovah said he could never ever be bad, it's impossible. My reply was, if you think that murdering children isn't bad then there is nothing more I can say.

  Olay!!! Three cheers for the bull !!!!!!!!! Am I evil?

  on tv news the other day they showed a scene of a bull in a bull ring jump into the seating area and maul the blood thirsty crowd.

  i tell yah, when i saw it jump into the crowd i was cheering for the bull as it thumped away at its persecutors.

  well they came for blood and the got it, not quite the way they had anticipated but it was a crowd pleaser all the same.

  Should I had felt concern and sorry for the crowd? Because I most certainly didn't. Olay!!!!!

  Jephtah's daughter - human sacrifice or not?

  can somebody bring some light to this question?.

  judges chapter 11.. if you read vers 31 it looks clear that jephtha is speaking about human sacrefice.

  "he speaks about a burn offering for jehovah of the first thing or person that walks out of his house.

  That's a sick story no better than the sacrifices the Incas made over which the Catholics believed they had moral superiority.
  
  I remember this story being analysed at a meeting the details I forgot but I think the gist of it was a deal is a deal.
  Japhthah must have been a complete asshole to make such a deal. THe chances that it would have been his daughter would have been high. What if it had been his neighbour. How would he have explained that one away... "Listen neighbour, I don't know how to explain this to you, but tell you what, you've got two months to get your rocks off then I have to slit your throat and burn your body. No hard feelings. It's not personal it's business."
  It's obvious that the Jews made this Jehovah to match their violent culture.
  
  It really sickens me now when I hear JWs say they love Jehovah. They don't know what they are saying and what they are worshipping.

  In love with a JW, HELP!!!

  14 years ago i was a sophomore in high school and fell head over heels for a senior (we'll call him mike) who wasn't really in to me.

  i was raised catholic and he, a jw.

  i wrote him lots of notes, sent him teddy bears and tried to win his heart.

  You're unhappily married he is unhappily married if you got married to each other how do you know that you wouldn't be unhappy together.
  I think you have been living an infatuation fantasy rather than something real. The grass is greener and all that.
  I tell you, the pedastool you put him on would have ensured a failed marriage - he would never have lived up to the heights you were expecting. My feeling is you have wasted your emotions for the last 14 years, depressed yourself and undermined your marriage unnecessarily. forget this guy, you're only 28 years old you can pull it back.
