until i had come on this forum i didn't have a clue as to what complex and convoluted problems biblical text offers upon scholarly examination.
i never took the muslim claim seriously i was quite derisory about the whole thing but now i have to give it more thought.

Someone along the way decided that the Quran should be read in arabic as translating it would mean losing the exact meanings infered by the verses.
This doesn't make sense because surely, if Allah is still around and this is his book and we can reasonbly assuming Allah, peace be upon him, is not an Arab, then why would this God in his glorious omnipotence/omniscience not be able to inspire islamic translators to pass his word from one language to another perfectly? -

It's open to too many interpretations. Why would God try to confuse us? At least give us a fighting chance, it's bad enough being imperfect sinners who can only use 1% of our brain power. Stop throwing curve balls at us if You exist.
It's maccabre.
The early christians couldn't figure out which way to go, must be because they weren't inspired at least not by God. Maybe they were just itching to be leaders of a new religion.

That could very well be true but I think the point is that the bible sets this up as divine killing and destruction which is then adopted by jews, moslems and christian as a good thing. Their acceptance though immediately exposes them as apologists for such attrocities and as such must be rejected if you have any sense of justice and love in you. -

Didn't Jehovah also kill the innocent baby from the David/Bathsheba story?
I remember asking an elder about this sin of David because I really wasn't happy with the outcome especially of the husband being sent to his death and no apparent punishment for David. He became very denfensive and dismissive, he said, "well the husband was a soldier and would have died in battle anyway, David just quickened the process." And he added more crap to these excuses that I don't remember now but I do remember not being satisfied at all. -
