Maybe it's just my own fault for not researching enough, but I had no idea about what they teach about Christ's mediatorship. I also didn't know about their disbelief in the bodily resurrection of Jesus. I think those are two major points that should be discussed pretty early in the game.

Did the JWs conceal crucial info before your baptism
by greendawn infor those that became jws but weren't born in the cult, do you feel that before baptism the dubs withheld from you information that should have been revealed, things that if you were aware of you wouldn't become a jw in the first place, such as the heartless dfing policy.
perhaps focusing on the promise of paradise earth and eternal life makes us forget to search out possible negative issues and that's part of their trickery.

Is It Impossible To Reach A Devout JW ???

a very typcal witness may see the obvious negatives that jws know they have.
they might acknowledge that there's often a lack of love, that the elders can be demanding, that "new light" can change long cherished beliefs in an instant.......but still they cling on and resist any sort of intellectual discussion as to why the witnesses are off soooooo many times.....what gives??

When I was first associated with the JW's I heard a lot that in order to learn the truth a person had to be hungry, honest, and humble. In my experience JW's lack humility. They believe that they have cornered the market on truth and are unwilling to accept that they might be wrong. they are willing and able to go to great lengths in deceiving themselves and others in order to hang on to that belief that they are right. I think that the only way to reach a devout JW, or any JW for that matter, is to happen upon the one doubt that they have. And they all have at least one, you just have to find it.

i have seen here some people critisise him as not being a really heartfelt opponent of the wts, but my view is that he was quite honest about his expressed motives against the cult.
with his revelations he gave a lot of momentum to the ex jw movement (the apostate organisation according to the jws) and offered valuable assistance to those seeking to shake off the ideological and social dependance on the oppressive cult.

On Friday I asked my visiting JW whether it was ever okay to communicate with spirits. She said absolutely not. I asked her why the watchtower claims that the governing body is communicating with dead members. She said she would have to look into it when she got home. No need, I said, I have it right here and I whipped it out, already underlined. Her defense? "It says they MAY be communicating." So in her twisted JW reasoning that makes total sense, they aren't but they MIGHT be. So I asked her again, is it okay for me to contact a spirit? She said I would not be able to, I would only be able to contact an evil spirit, it is impossible to contact good spirits. So I asked how she knew her governing body wasn't contacting evil spirits? "Because they teach the truth!" Anyone else have the urge to vomit?

Exactly. They feel so good that there is finally someone lower than them on the theocratic totem pole, they shun with an energy and zeal that they are unable to put into any other "Kingdom activites". Hypocritical, yes, but they feel oh so righteous about how they are proving their loyalty to their God

magazine where it explains that he taught greek and he was impressed by the new world translation and that is why he became a witness.
("how knowing greek led me to know god") well, like lots of apostates i have always found his story interesting because of course there are many problems with the translation of the greek that you might expect someone knowledgeable in the language to spot.

So he wants us to believe that this religion MUST be the "Truth" because the whole lot of them have crappy marriages that wouldn't last if they didn't have the cult forcing them to stay together? Huh? I think they are all unhappy because they based their choice of marriage mate on who had good field service tallies and who was "reaching" for more responsibility in "God's organization" instead of finding someone they truly love and respect.
