Do you lose your cool when driving?

Impatient people who think they can drive your car with their horn! They are so anxious to get around you they don't care if you're already going over the posted speed limit and when they do pass they have to flip you off and tear off like they are soooo pissed off!
Road rage has gotten so bad I always keep a loaded pistol in my lap just in case I get behind some slowpoke.

Whats the price of gas where you live?
by JH ini just noticed that minimus has a similar thread....i guess he knew that i was going to start this thread, so he started it a few days before me........... .
gas was $1.13 a litre last night and this morning its up uto $1.22 a litre.
so it's as if gas went up from $4.27 to $4.61 a gallon overnight.

Go back and re-read Terrys post on pg 2. He put it as well as it can be put. Try this too, Google the term "secular humanism" (or humanist) Read some of the basic tenets of that philosophy. They make a lot of sense. It works for me.
But, if you still crave a supernatural fix, well, you've already said you were moved by the "Passion of the Christ" movie with all its heavy Catholic blood and suffering, etc. Maybe you would be happy as a Catholic.
Best wishes

To Snitch or Not To Snitch and HOW?
by Inquisitor ini was happily day-dreaming the other day.
and somehow i thought of the witnesses i've personally known who've gone to china to spread watchtower propaganda.
and then this absolutely malevolent thought struck me.

News making events in Afganistan and other conservative Islamic regimes over the last few years has helped me to look at the Old Testament from a fresh perspective. It is so similar to the ultra conservative, anti-female, harsh discipline of the mullahs today. Cutting off heads and hands for minor infractions, publicly killing women for showing their faces, denying them even basic education, the parallels go on and on. As far as the supernatural events, like those associated with Moses story, etc. I know that these are simply the fabrications and exagerations common to all primitive religions, pagan or Israelite. Great stories, but please, don't take them seriously!

My Fathers Returns After Years of Inactvity - Now Even More Fanatical
by GermanXJW inthere are things in life you cannot relate to, you just have to observe.
before the generation change in 1995, i had read coc and discussed it with my father who has been a jw since the late 60s and had a first-hand-experience on the 1975 fiasco.
he admitted that there was some disappointment.

I think Dr Jekyl called it. I like people like your father. They do everything with a lot of passion and they wear their emotions on their sleeve. He feels personally vindicated right now but it is inevitable that another issue will test him. Stay cool and nuetral with it and he will always come back to you for a shoulder to lean on.
