It has been observed that many men, if given the choice, prefer to pee outside. It is some primal thing that is very satisfying. In one of Charlton Hestons books I read years ago he acknowledged this. Of course one must be careful. I recall a brother who had been on a long road trip and in the middle of nowhere and the night he pulled over at a culvert overcrosing and went down to relieve his bladder. A state policeman stopped and with his flashlight found him peeing. He charged him with indecent exposure which was then on his record forever. Scary.

i do have a pet peeve.
sometimes when i lift the seat there are obvious signs on the underside that a female has used it and not bothered to 'tidy up'.

by vitty ini think the real reason family members shun their "loved ones" is not because they love you and think it will bring you back, or that they are being obedient to god, but that you have totally embarrassed them, brought the family name into disrepute and it now brings into question how spiritual they are.. if they shun you, in their minds, they think the elders, and dubs will not think less of them.
its all about what the "neighbours " think not what the bible teaches.. its about pride not love.. what do you think?.
oh and it gives them brownie points to be used at armageddon.......................just in case.. .

I used to marvel at how JWs who were always irregular publishers, not in the KM school, never conducted a Bible study and missed a lot of meetings, would be the first to go to prison over the draft or refuse a blood trans. for themselves or children. It was like they would rather make a grand gesture than go through the boring grind of being a 'good' witness. As stated above, shunning was a piece of cake for these types and they are good at it.

We had a neighbor once who left the seat up during the night and when his hefty wife sat down later she got stuck. He tried everything but finally had to call a plumber. Just before the plumber came into the bathroom the hubby grabbed a cowboy hat for his wife to cover her crotch. The plumber studied the situation for a moment and then told them "I can get her unstuck but there's no way I can save the cowboy".

Does anyone really have a chaperone when out with the opposite sex?
by WingCommander insomehow, i seriously doubt it.
it was spoken about when i was growing up that that was supposed to be the "loving arrangement", but i never heard, saw, or did it myself, nor did anyone else.
since i wasn't allowed out of the house, much less date until i was 16, it wasn't really an issue for me anyway.

Damselfly! Yeah, nobody likes to handle the seat, so it becomes the mans job? You didn't address my peeve. I am sure it doesn't apply to you but what do you think ?
P.S. I'll bet a lot of women are not even aware of this situation because they never see the underside of the seat thanks to us courteous (p. whipped) menfolk.

Im IMPOTENT a new way to beat the system

my father a ministeral servant, had an affair with another woman, and is still with this other woman.
(shes not a jw, but a so called "bible study") he lives with her and when consulted by the elders and asked "are you having pre marital relations woth this woman" his reply is "i cant im impotent!

If I may add, thirty years ago I was on a committee that DF'd a sister because a man was seen leaving her house early in the morning on several occasions. When she met with us she said he had been staying overnight but that nothing happened. We pointed to a WT that discussed the "appearance of evil" principle based on an OT scripture referring to a man seen leaving the house of a harlot. This was just the iceing on the cake of a very suspicious situation .

Whether this creepy little weasel John Carr is the murderer of the Ramsey child or not, enough has become known about him to know that he is an incurable predator of little girls. I'd like to watch his pasty little poker face as he was being strapped into the chair. I would volunteer to (pick one)- pull the lever on the trap door, throw the switch, pull the trigger, press the plunger or sit on his head in 6 inches of ditch water.

Yecch, makes me sorry I touched the damn thing at all and I sure don't feel like touching it again to put it down.

Vitty, I agree with you. I would only add that, like in my large, extended JW family, that when a family member is Df'd it is an opportunity/excuse to indulge in mean, cold behavior that is more rooted in old feuds, rivalries and pettiness than it is in righteous indignation.
