since 1987, i must have went to about 16 memorials and missed about 5.
been to about 30 and missed the last 28 including 2008.
the lady on the phone told me that if i could get to chicago in time for a 1 pm flight i could still make it to nh that day.
if one has strong faith in ones faith, he should not fear other belief systems.
may have killed the cat; more likely .
That's not a post. Its a book...lol
does anyone have a link to that funny pakistani short movie site that you can add subtitles too.
saw some on here years ago but i can't find any now :( .
if anyone knows what i'm talking about could they please post me the link to the site.. thank you.
WELCOME js.
i spent 20 long years in the society.
the one thing they pounded into your head esp at convention time is honesty.
jehovah's people are the most honest in all the earth.
Any honest person would do the same thing, believe me there are millions of them out there in Satan's world. I deal with them everyday.
i hope well.
this is a subject i've been wanting to approach for awhile as i've noticed on the board at times there have been wisecracks about janitors who were jehovah's witnesses .
now , hey, i'm real, have a good sense of humor, and can take a joke like anyone, be the brunt of a good joke, hell, i laugh at myself when i work alone at nights- just to keep entertained !
I have to agree with you Mr. Flipper I raised a family of eight on Janitorial jobs as business owner. When my youngest son graduated we went into the building maintenance business. We made a good living at it. As of Dec.31 I was able to retire. Oodles of money to be made in the business. Congratulations on your success. Peace out ,

i'm new here and am hoping to get some support and become normal again.
i'm going to tell my story below, sorry in advance for how long it is, but i've really gotta get a grip on who i am now and what i need to do.
since before my baptism and for four years, my children and i attended every meeting.
Welcome OMG...Mia You have taken the first step in returning to normal. Just follow the good advice of most of the posters here. It is not easy and does take time. It took me five years to clear my mind of 40 yrs of indoctrination by the WT. Make new friends and do not be too hasty in finding another church, give your mind a chance to heal. Time heals all wounds so
(((((((((hugs))))))))) to you and stick around your in good hands.

i have gone thru phases with this.
i sometimes have forced jw's who shun me to speak, or be embarrassed if they don't.
then i let up on that as the hurting lessened over time.
I totally shun them, after all they taught my own children to shun me. I want nothing to do with them.

i hardly ever take an extended warranty.
call me cheap, but something new shouldn't break.
and if it does, the 1 year coverage should be enough to make sure i didn't buy a lemon.. many say that companies make their money with additional warranties, and that you're better off not taking it and paying for the repair if ever there is one to be made.. when i see a 27 tv at 250$ compared to 700$ 10 years ago, i won't pay for an additional warranty.
Never ...not a good investment
