  What's with Ex-Jw's who join another religion? Fool me Twice????

  sorry no offense but why do some ex-witnesses here join another group....we have a muslim {muhamed was given a koran by an angel in a cave?

  }....we have some baptists etc......i researched the bible and found there are 1,000's of gospels not part of the bible...so what's the deal...."fool me once shame on you..fool me twice shame on me" or do you have a reason for continued belief in religion...i really wan't to know since iam agnostic and don't believe in god or evolution????

  ARE YOU PRO-UNION OR ANTI-UNION?

  would you rather work in a unionized or non-unionized environment?

  the place where i work recently voted 'no', we don't want a union in here (after being harassed by a very large union for the last 5 years).

  there were some who voted 'yes', but the majority of us voted 'no' and those that were pro-union are quite pissed off that the rest of us 'fail to see the light'.

  Was pro... unions did a lot of good in the past by bringing in better and safer working conditions.

  Now anti...I think they have become too greedy and are forcing big companies out of the industrialized countries.

  How many billions did GM lose in 2007. They are gradually leaving Canada and the U.S.

  slow, very slow, any day now.

  my computer works very well on all other sites.

  when i come to this jwd forum, it takes a long time, very slow for the pages to come up.. is this happening to anyone else?

  Have you ever been called on by JWs?

  i've been out for nearly 3 years now.

  i live in the territory but not once has jehovah witnesses knocked on my door - i haven't even seen them preaching in the area - or perhaps it's because i'm never at home in the mornings any longer.. if you have been called on, or offered magazine too - what do you say?.

  Been out 28 years. Have seen them on our street a number of times but always miss our home.

  We are on the do not call list. But twice in all that time they did not look at the terr. map and called at our home. Once with the last tract and quite a few years ago and old guy that probably could not see the map called. I wish they would take us off the do not call list because I have a few things I would like to say to them.

  Old Tobacco Barns

  where i live in nc near va there are so many old barns left from the days of tobacco growing.

  when i was a child almost all the country people raised tobacco to make a living and would cure the tobacco in these barns.

  out on the old country roads there are barns everywhere.

  How many of you Ex Jehovah's Witnesses married early and it was a disaster?

  what a common tale.

  you marry early becasue you can't have sex.. i was married at 19 and divorced at 50. the only thing that held it together was our involvement in the jw's.

  otherwise it would have been over in less than 5 years.. my kids are not witnesses and have a terrible relationship with their mother, as she is always trying to shove it down their throats.. this is still happening.

  Married for 20 years 1960. Remarried for 22 years. Ex still hardcore dub she has no relationship with her children, even though a couple of them are still JW's.

  Old Memories

  i've been having a lot of old memories from my past.

  i can't seem to see ahead at all.

  it makes me sad to think about my mom and dad and all the old jws that i knew from way back.

  Hi Ken I enjoyed your picture it brought back memories to me. This is the time period that I started being a JW. We met in an old Oddfellows hall in the early fifties. And we use to do placard work every Saturday morning advertising the puplic talk for Sunday. I hated this street work as we were teased at school, but we were forced to do it. Seventy-two is still young today. I am closing in on your age. and have seen a lot over the forty years I was a dub. I was an elder for years during the seventies and was DF"d in 1980 because I could no longer believe the things taught. Thanks for the picture.

  let me start off by saying that i'm glad to know this support group and website is available.

  i decided to dissocaite myself four years ago.

  i actually emailed an author that wrote a book about her experience as jw and why she left.
