end of what? I guess if you like whats going on around here, and are rich and prosperous. It may be a "bad" thing in your eyes, what will it be to the poor "sinners" is what I want to know? what have they got to miss? Speaking as a very poor man, I can tell you......."not a damn thing". It may only get better, to get worse is unthinkable.

do you think the end is near?
by drew sagan ini will say that the "evidence" for a drastic change in mankinds history (end of the world, the great day of god the almighty, what ever you want to call it) seems likely when doing a survey of where mankind is a the current point in time.
nuclear weapons, wars, technology, globalization, and ecological destruction all seem to point towards a place that mankind has never been before.
mankind is unquestionably in a position differant from any point in human history.

Who is more powerful? A leader that convinces people, or threatens/kills?
by DavidChristopher inwhich do you think is the most powerful leader?.
the leader that can convince his people to follow his example, and trust him.. or the leader that threatens his people, and carries a big gun.
any thoughts?

What is more powerful? the desire to learn and grow, or the desire to rule, threaten and control others? " " killed the cat? To find a desire that overpowers a bad one, well you get the idea........

Judgement or what
by encourager incan anyone give some insight - i've been doing a bible study at my home with two friends and we were looking at the resurrection and judgement.
i was told that people who have already died will not be raised for judgement as they have already been judged and thats the end of it... but we then read the gospels and found jesus saying that at the judgement it would be more bearable for the people of sodom than those from the towns which rejected jesus's ministry.
one of my friends is an elder at my local kingdom hall and he's confused as well.

Well, I like the part where Jesus tells us, that those of us leave our families and children, would recieve many more in the NSof things? Does that mean what I think it does?
I don't see Jesus judging anyone. I think He loves us enough to provide the nesessary knowledge to convince everyone on earth to repent and be saved.
Is there someone who would like to disagree with this opinion?

Can someone point out the differences between a teacher and a leader?
by DavidChristopher ini spent some time in my 5 year olds kindergarten class today.....i was in awe at how one teacher can keep order and teach 20 different hyper children, even getting them to act as one.
truly awesome sight it was........ that is when this topic popped in my head.
any thoughts?

Now how do we know who has it and who doesn't? Is there a way to discern?

Jesus......was He Born on Earth or in Heaven?
by gumby inrevelation is an odd book even to believing christians.
nowhere in the book is jesus earthly life discussed.
not the sacraments, miracles, his earthly existance, his birth.......nothing.. this book is an obvious hatred for the roman dictators written by a disgruntled jew/jews that wrote in a fantasy world concerning roman destruction by the hand of a fictitious jewish messiah who never showed.. the christ of revelation is actually born in heaven, and under pretty extraordinary circumstances (his mother is clothed in the sun, with the moon at her feet, wearing twelve stars as a crown a reasonable description of isis).

Jehovah I know doesn't need a "organization" for power to accomplish what He wants done.

Except of course, this teacher showed them and told them, and they did it. Teachers don't just tell, not a good one anyway. If they can tell and get results, fine, but if telling fails, then what? A gun?

Well....I cannot prove his thought or intentions for doing this, as I am NOT the TRUE GOD. But I am quite proud of the people on the board who are obviously on their game, and not an easy target for being misled. (Not saying you really were PMJ.)
I must say you have got me thinking......Maybe I could learn from your "possible" mistake, open an account in another name and see if I can mislead everyone, like an exercise or "war game". It almost sounds like fun, and a wholesome effort. But alas, it is against the rules.........
What if we call it another name that is not yet deemed "against the rules", or if I have friend do it, and tell them what to say? There are ways around rules, without "breaking" them. But you have to use your brain a little, and have a little "committment" (hardheadedness?) about yourself.
