In my life I've been guilty of killing off my imaginery friends. It seems as though mankind in general has a similar habit. ;-)
certain people are in positions that can affect us.
certain family members or jws can make our lives miserable.. some politicians, we would be happy to see them or at least their terms expire.. certain sports figures, religious leaders, actors, and other types cold be on our "wish list" to get out of our brains.. can you think of anyone that you wouldn't mind ever hearing about again??

harold camping is the president of family radio and recently on his open forum program he denied that hell is a place.
he also has set dates for the return of christ the first was in 1994 and now he says it will be 2011. he also states that the end of the church age has come, but he has weekly meetings that are not church.

Iveseenthelight that's interesting. Is it because you still view blood as sacred, or is it due to the potential tiny risks of receiving contaminated units? Sorry if I'm putting you on the spot but I used to feel that way and I'm grateful I don't anymore.

i feel quite giddy making this announcement!.
katie kitten (louise) text me last night at 11.30pm to tell me to tell you all she's had a litter of one.
a little boy, josef jack, 8lb 14oz, born 5.55am on nov 15th.. she apparently had a long and somewhat rough time of it and is gonna be in hospital a day or two.. i'll be the first to say congratulations.
Wonderful news. So glad mum and baby are well. KK predicted an 8lb 2oz boy so she wasn't far off.

many of us are still on good terms with jw friends and family.
my particular concern revolves around being honest with minor dubbies who may confide in us regarding doubts or problems they have "acting" out the role determined by their witness parents.

This is a good subject. In my extended JW family there are now just three minors, and I'd be very surprised if all of them continue in their faith. So far there's only been two defections in my family, I being one of them, the other being their aunt.
I'm so grateful that our family has not been splintered by the WBTS policy, but this is dependent on religion being off the menu. It's, as they say on this forum, the elephant in the corner.
I can only hope that if the aforementioned children ever feel the need for support they'd know they can rely on me, but I couldn't imagine the fallout if the JW members of my family ever thought I was fuelling the fire of doubt and apostacy. It's potentially an incredibly delicate scenario in waiting.
For now I pray for their future. As girls in their early to mid teens I have to be concerned over matters ranging from their potential "arranged" husbands, to the possible dangers they face in child birth by transfusion refusal. My intuition telles me there's a storm on the horizon.

I left the Witnesses carrying much of the baggage they'd sold me. I think that for some time after I left I'd probably have refused a transfusion. The internet cleared out all of the JW shite from my head, and now I donate blood regularly. I've also seen it save lives at first hand.
