Help - Need Some Tough Questions...
by Clam ini used to post a lot on here but rarely do these days.
i was asked by a friend today to give her some questions for a dub she's meeting tomorrow.
he's an arrogant one who says he can answer any question she has and consequently (haha) demonstrate that it's the truth.

Hi all
I used to post a lot on here but rarely do these days. I was asked by a friend today to give her some questions for a Dub she's meeting tomorrow. He's an arrogant one who says he can answer any question she has and consequently (haha) demonstrate that it's the truth.
A couple of years ago I could've put together a list really easily but I'm really rusty on these things now and haven't been a Dub myself for decades. Can you help me with some killer questions please? Or failing that post a link to a definitive thread?
Cheers in advance,

Nine year old baptized
by EmptyInside inthis weekend at the circuit assembly, (i stayed home, thank goodness), i heard a nine year -old girl was baptized.
and she seems a bit mature for her age, but hardly mature enough,in my opinion, to make such a choice on her own.
it seems to be a trend in our circuit right now.

Pitiful practice. Could almost be deemed to be another form of child abuse. Outsiders may see this as a relatively harmless demonstraion of faith, but of course it's entering into a contract with a multinational commercial organisation that doesn't like people leaving.

article in the UK daily mail about JW child abuse
by highdose inmy home became my nightmare': a woman recalls her childhood of abuse by her stepfather.
beth ellisafter suffering years of abuse as a child at the hands of her jehovah's witness stepfather, beth ellis (now 30) finally made a statement to the police five years ago.
but, because of the closed nature of her upbringing, getting enough evidence to prove his crime became an ongoing battle.

Yes just read this round a friend's house. Powerful stuff in a Sunday paper's magazine with a circulation of over 2 million.

"what cracks me up are the WT pictures of a clean shaven Adam. What-the-hell did he shave himself with anyway, and why would he bother? There were no elders looking over his shoulders."
True. maybe facial and bodily hair were absent on the perfect man and it was a byproduct of sin?

The Nephilim Are Still Here!
by cameo-d infor they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.. (ezra 9:2).
.
could this be the origin of the "divine right of kings"?.

Hi Scotty - yes I remember your previous incarnation. I don't post here much myself but I've got this new girlfriend who's recently told me her father is a Dub, so I thought I might attend meetings again (JWN ones not Kingdum hall ones!). Just can't get away from them. . .
