Wicked angel was driving the UFO the wise men saw
by Franz inif an angel was in a ufo that led the astrologers (the 'wise men') to the young child jesus in that house (mt 2:11), then it must have been a wicked angel.
we have these pagan astrologers (greek, "magoi"; see de 18:10-12 and isa 47:13,14) traveling along and they see a "star".
(how convenient; astrologers.....stars.....) does it lead them directly to jesus?

THE GOVERMENT AND SHUNNING.....
by Mary inafter reading the tragedy of puternut, i was thinking that perhaps it's time that the government took another look at what can happen when they allow religions like the jws, to cut off family members without a second thought.
surely someone's rights to have normal religions with their family should come before freedom of religion.
isn't it ironic that the gb fought so hard in court to obtain freedom of religion, yet their own members commit suicide when they try to express this very right.

It surprises me that in a such a litigious society as the States that no one has sued the WTS, even individual elders for causing pernicious harm by ordering disassociation. Isn't there a record over there of at least one "no win no fee" attorney having a crack at it?

LOL @ tetrapod
I'm a Franz fan and read his stuff intently. It's also the kind of stuff I can slip into conversation and use to scare people away, eg have my own carriage on a train, get my barber to stop talking to me while he's cutting my hair, or simply emptying the pub when I just want a quiet drink.
Franz get your own website dude but keep posting here

Ever since I was a little kid I was fascinated by the Bible. My interest is what made me an easy target for the JWs in my teens. I'm still as fascinated by it now as I ever was and regulalry read parts of it. Posts from here often get me opening it up. I think its easy to slip into the practice of worshipping the Bible itself though. I enjoy reading it these days and still have this gut feeling that it contains some dark secrets.

JW EXORCISTS
by Clam ini first got into the jw cult at the age of 13, when my obviously well meaning jw sister saw me as a particularly juicy target for brain washing.
during my impressionable teens i came across several stories inside the congo concerning such matters as possession of a house by a poltergeist or indeed possession of a child/teenager by some kind of malevolent entity.
according to my circle of jdubs the offending demons soon made a dash for it when the jws turned up.

It was late at night and she was hearing noises or 'bumps' in the night. So being a good JDub that she is,, she proceeds to pray really hard and yell out Jehovah's name many
Thanks for your story Highlander. Being an innocent lady I wondered if your great aunt was hearing a couple going at it in a neighbouring appartment when I read this LOL.

OK, I't My Turn As The Newbie
by BlackPearl ini'm not sure where to start, probably in two major areas.
mechanics thing, that can't work, and what i see as the lack of true love in the brotherhood.
i've been in "the truth" or lack thereof, for about 30 years, give or take a little.

JW FORCE SCHOOL TO BAN HOT CROSS BUNS

school decides to ban the bun

Blondie my gut feeling is that the school is more likely to make these decisions rather than the normally low profile JWs kicking off.
As Slugga points out, the moslems are normally in the front line. Banning things like piggy banks because they may offend moslems simply brings embarassment on the part of moslems. In most cases they find this overboard sycophantic attempt to keep them happy as ridiculous and a waste of time.
