Now to me reading that, it looks like the writer of Genesis is saying God was walking in the garden. Is it just me or does it look like that to others too?

My son is a JW and I would love him to talk about the religion but he never does now because I always end up making good points to him that he can't answer. There are many points that a JW has no answer for, so maybe just drop them in now and again. Some topics you just go round and round in circles like the trinity, immortality etc, but some things they just cannot deny.

Throughout history there have been times when there is relative peace and security. If your scenario happens it is good but does nothing for other parts of the world that have their own troubles. Religion is still extremenly strong in some countries. Muslims are a good example, where young men line up to be suicide bombers to support their religious beliefs.

so as i've written about this before.
an old friend of my late husband's suddenly contacted me out of the blue after over twenty years of shunning and we started writing.
i didn't know why she contacted me but i thought perhaps something had happened in the organisation to make her think, which is why i came on this forum in the first place.. she kept talking about her religion and basically 'witnessing' to me and i replied with just how long are we supposed to wait when it's been nearly 100 years since christ came into his kingdom.
I stayed with the org years longer than I should have because of the great social life I was having. But in the end I could no longer live a lie.

a good question to ask a jw is: do you follow what the bible teaches or what the watchtower organization says?
then ask them to give you just one example of a doctrine in the bible, that they have ascertained through their individual bible study, that is different from what is taught by the watchtower.
of course, they cannot honestly answer without admitting that they do in fact follow the watchtower and not the actual bible.
Most would say that it was Jehovah's Witnesses that got them interested in the bible, so any doctine found in the bible is taught by them.
i need help with writing an article regarding vaccinations, organ transplants, and blood transfusions.. i am doing my research using limited amounts of non-wt sources and mostly just the actual wt literature.. what i am having a hard time understanding is:.
most of the articles in the golden age, at least at the beginning of the anti-vaccination stance, are actually written by contributors.
since there are very pro-vaccination articles and then lots of anti-vaccination articles, how can i determine the actual wt viewpoint on vaccinations?.
The Golden Age 1931, February 4 issue devoted 10 pages to why vaccinations were not for Christians. The index page to the 1931 article claimed this as the viewpoint of the Creator.
Does not get much clearer than that..
