Watchtower showed no increase in practically everything last year, but baptisms were up. So the org can home in on that one figure to mislead the sheep that they are having good increase. Also once a person is baptised, its much harder to leave the religion.

March 2020 Broadcast - Hard Push to Baptism. Why?
by Smiles inthe jw broadcast for march 2020 is a hard push for more baptisms, where mark sanctamonious sanderson makes ready use of the phrase "baptised disciples of jesus" instead of their typical catch phrase "baptised servants of jehovah".
the "jesus message" is somewhat unusual rhetoric for jehovah's witnesses.
why the big push for more baptism?

Expect 90% of pimi's to go down with the ship here's why
by nowwhat? ini have been feeding my very pimi brother tidbits and clippings of all the csa issues coming to light the last five years and all the org's business dealings of hundreds of closed halls congs dissolving etc.
and reminding him of all the failed prophecies etc etc.
although he would listen and acknowledge.

For me it was always a good social life before i left 20 years ago. Always ''friends'' to go around with. It was only after i walked away from the cult, that those friends showed that they were totally conditional friends, and completely shunned me. No glad now that i have real friends who will stick by me, and not get upset if we disagree on some small thing.

May 2020 Watchtower They Admit, they don't know
by Listener inthey'll write pages and pages of stuff and yet they don't have any idea.. here's a paragraph from their latest speculations on future events, bolding is mine.. a prophecy recorded by ezekiel gives some insight into what may happen during the last days of the king of the north and the king of the south.
if we view the prophecies of ezekiel 38:10-23; daniel 2:43-45; 11:44–12:1; and revelation 16:13-16, 21 as speaking about the same time period and events, it appears that we can expect the following developments.. that's an awful lot of assumptions to make.
what they've done is picked out various scriptures from different parts of the bible and now state that they may or may not be talking about the same events.

Its interesting how they say what MAY happen. Thats a long way from the old days when so many prophesies were put out as fact. They have already said prophesy can be best understood after it happens lol. In other words they will look at some event, and decide if it can be included in some prophesy. For instance if the corona virus got completely out of control and killed hundreds of thousands of people they would then include it in what Jesus said about pestilences in Mathew 24. If it becomes controllable, then they wont be talking about it as prophesy at all.

They say all sorts of things, that are not true. They are not at all united. Each year 100,000 or more leave the org because they dont agree with the governing body in some area or areas. Many more stay, but just dont voice their disagreements.

Where is Watchtower Getting the Money???

Their current strategy seems to merge congregations, and then sell the spare hall. Then after a reasonable amount of time, they say this congregation is getting too big, so we need to build a new hall.
That can be done all round the world using free labour, which after all is the biggest cost in building a meeting hall.

This woman is crazy. I recently unsubscribed to her channel, because she speaks such rubbish. How on earth she thinks Watchtower is going down because one small country has a mortgage on something, completely beats me. Im sure donations are way down in uk, as there has been no increase in publishers in the last 4 years. But they can get their money by selling off Kingdom Halls, which they are doing.
Once the Mill Hill site is sold, Watchtower will be back in the money again.

There is another thread about this subject. But any magazine that is given away free of charge is going to have a much higher printing than one where you have to pay for it.

The good news is that donations are down worldwide. The bad news is that Watchtower gets their money now by closing Kingdom Halls and selling them, and making local witnesses share another hall miles away. Then a few years later they will tell the JWs they need to have their own hall now, so they build another one with free labour. And so it goes on and on.
