They most certainly are not true friends. True friends would always allow you to think for yourself and understand you wont agree on everything. As soon as any JW decides to leave the organisation, they are cut off immediately by their former ''good friends''

They even have an answer to that charge. They say they dont know exactly when God will intervene, so they just carry on as normal.

Covering the territory
by Ding inhow often are jws trying to cover a given territory nowadays?.
logically, they should be trying to cover the territory more and more often the closer armageddon gets, but it seems to me i see them out far less often than i used to..

One third of the world has never even heard the JW message. This is clearly seen by reading the service report each year in the Yearbook. In countries where witnesses do cover their territory regularly, most people have no idea at all what the JW message is. All most people know is that they dont take blood, dont celebrate birthdays and Christmas, plus a growing number now know about the JWs awful child sex abuse policies.

Not Inspired, Not Infallible
by pale.emperor init occurred to me this morning while one the train to work that jw's, including my family, use the following weasel phrases to excuse the errors they've made over the years:.
"god uses imperfect men".
"jesus didn't say he'd give perfect spiritual food".

It's also not the first time they have said this. JWs except the fact that the governing body have made some mistakes, but as good sheep they still follow every word that is spoken to them. In their mind it makes perfect sense.

Surely this document should be available on the jwdotorg website. As has been said many JWs simply would not ask to see it as they will be flagged up as a possible trouble maker.

How do you find out which kh territory you're in?
by rebel8 inthese douche bags left a memorial invitation in my door today, after i have already told them point blank, "do not come to this property ever again," which was months after my trespassing letter.. how dumb can people possibly be?
is there such a thing as an iq below zero?.
so i want to send a 2nd letter with the tract ripped up inside, so i will have a 2nd receipt showing another attempt to get them to leave me alone.. how do i know which hall's territory i am in?

There may well have been a note in the JW map of your road, but often those notes can get overlooked or the witness just forgets about the 'do not call' as they are too busy chatting with their partner all round the territory.

Business Slow at JW Literature Trolley
by Athanasius inyesterday i stopped at a local shopping center to pick up a few things.
i arrived at 9:45 am and two jw ladies had already set up their literature trolley and had opened for business.
but i didn't see anyone stopping by and taking advantage of their free literature.

I am in UK, and often see them out with their carts. Not once have I seen anyone remotely interested as they walk by. Once there was an old friend of mine who is an elder with a sister, and he looked so miserable His whole body language was saying I really dont want to be here. I called over to him to say hi, and in fact I had to call him a second time before he eventually woke up from his little world and said a reluctant hi back to me.
Most times when I see the JWs with their carts they are playing with their phones, so not even looking at passing people.

New member + anyone attended/seen the Zone Visit?
by Isambard Crater ini'm a new member so wanted to say 'hi'.
i live in the u.k, was born in, fell away as an unbaptised publisher, got baptised in my 30s for reasons i'm retrospectively unsure of, and lost my faith about five years ago around the time of the original a.r.c.
now, being unable to leave is making me physically, emotionally and mentally ill.. i have been visiting this forum for a couple of years and wanted to post my first message to see if anyone has attended, heard or watched the zone visit broadcast thing happening this month?

Just go spiritually sick. If and when anyone asks just say you have some personal problems to deal with. Providing you are not speaking against the governing body they cant do anything to you. Fading is still quite possible if you do it in the right way. Certainly better than living a lie for the rest of your life

I wrote to Mr. Angus Stewart regarding the "inactive" status claims made by the Watchtower at the ARC
by EdenOne inthis is the email i have just sent to mr. stewart angus, who has been conducting the questioning of the jw leaders during the australian royal commission dealing with child abuse cases among the jehovah's witnesses, concerning the claims made that a jehovah witness who wishes to walk away from the organization can simply become inactive and avoid being shunned:.
dear mr. angus stewart,
i have followed with interest the videos of the arc regarding the jehovah's witnesses in australia.

Yes they were asked the simplest of questions, but the JWs did everything they could to avoid giving a straight answer. It made no difference, it was obvious to everyone what they were doing.
