I always wondered about this too. Keep in mind that I am not a JW, so I am kind of on the outside looking in. I even mentioned this to my JW friend.
It seems to me, from the way the WTS explains all this Armageddon aftermath, that I would be much better off not to convert, because it would seem I would be able to avoid a lot of hard work and gruesome cleaning tasks.
After watching all my non-JW friends, relatives, and children die a horrible death, I would get to see the birds and worms eat their carcasses. Then I get to go about the "happy" task of cleaning up their bones. Not to mention the fact that there won't be any bulldozers or power tools to help. From the looks of the pictures, it will all be done with wheel barrows and shovels. I'm not a very burley gal, so I think I would rather pass on that!
Then there's the resurrection thing. You have to teach everyone all over again! Even though the Bible specifically says we will no longer be teaching (Jer. 31:34; Heb. 8:12; 10:16-17), I don't know where those verses fit into the WTS, because it seems they have lots of teaching planned for forever and a day.
Am I crazy to think I would be better off going out at Armageddon? I mean, even if I did convert, I could end up losing my resurrection if I say or do something the WTS doesn't approve of. If I don't convert, I could screw up until the cows some home, and I still get to come back! I by pass the doors slammed in the face, the judgement of a bunch of KH busy-bodies, and I get out of all that gruesome hard manuel labor!
Am I on the right track?
