In general letter is from one person to other. And by protection of correspondence law owner of the letter decides if he want to show you. Even the whole letter is about you.

Moving Congregations. Am I Allowed To Read The Letter The Elders Write?
by Diogenes ini've just moved congregations (it's the easiest way to keep people off your back!
) and the elders have received the letter written about me.. i've asked to read it to make sure there are no inaccuracies but the elders have refused point blank saying i'm not allowed.. i'm certain that under the data protection act i am allowed.. does anybody have any thoughts on this?
could you point me to anything the society have said?

Since Moses shares same titles with Jehovah and Jesus does it make him God?
by booker-t ini am saying this as a joke towards trinitarian reasoning but if a person acts on trinitarian assumption the bible could be used to prove moses is jehovah god of the old testaments.
one of the things that i notice with trinitarians is that they are constantly using "circular" reasoning in their attempts to prove jesus is jehovah.
they seem to rely heavily on if a certain title is used for jehovah and is again used for jesus then that is proof positive that jesus is jehovah.

And why JW thinks that "God" is title but not name of nature? Word "dog" can be title and can be description of nature!

it's a very basic concept.
like asking "how can one person have the authority of the governing body if they aren't the governing body all at the same time ?

fjtoth what I meant is I explained how something one can be three and still be one. Ofcourse nature of God is not possible to explain in terms of human mind. But dubs are not able to accept even illustration of trinity (which I told clear) if it suggests that dubs are wrong. Their usual answer is "my mind can't understand it, and God is not God of confusion, so it can't be".

That is usual JW tactics. Asking questions and then answering, or asking questions requiring answer in some specific form. Once one JW Elder (are they all so stupud?) asked me to explain trinity using family example. I answered him that trinity is not understood in terms of our people family but in terms of Godhead. He didn't liked answer. Coz I explained trinity very clearly. He was not able to refute examples that something one can be something three at the same time and still be one. (Water, Space, Time, Different translations of the same book etc.) They represent trinity as straw man and what they do all the time is refuting their own understanding of trinity which has nothing to do with real Trinity. So what they are doing is - fighting air.

The Bible seems to show that Jehovah chooses bad leaders

it mentioned how saul was a bad king, how david was a king who let lust and greed take him over.
plus, we know moses made a big enough mistake to not be allowed into the promise land and then we also see jesus bad taste in followers with the judas incident.

What do I see is that Bible is one unique book which shows that God is with those who are not brightest of this world. Bible shows, that God is with "minority". So I wander why Bible is not very popular today as today "minority" is everything. Each "minority" declares their own rights and requires majority to provide them. So I guess bible would be very good reason today for minorities, but they just don't see the oportunity and stays minority without God. But minority with God would rule the world!

Strange, that sometimes sceptics refer to lack of evidence in roman, jewish and pagan writings and do not believe the ones who claims to be eyewitnesses when things can be verified very easy. It is like in court, to say that eyewitness of murder can't be trusted coz he shows evident bad attitude towards the suspect (why should he be neutral if he saw the event), and that's why we have to try to find evidence in somebody who is neutral towards suspect. Let's ask his gang friends if they confirm the events eyewitness is saying.
The problem I see here is that if enybody of you would see man ressurected you would believe it and witness it if you are asked. But sceptics says BECAUSE they believe, their witness is not reliable. So it seems that only good source of eveidence about Jesus is ones who were not there and who didn't see anything, coz everybody who have seen it claims the same BS!
So and the bottomline is... they can't be trusted coz I don't believe what they say! SO WHAT! You can believe what you want, but you can't refute eyewitness evidence only because you don't like what they are witnessing. And Witnessing SUCH events definetly change your attitude. Either you will scream about it from roofs or you will just try to stay as quiet as possible, and exactly THIS is what we can see... that those who are claimed to murder and try to silence Jesus after his ressurection keeps being silent instead of providing proofs of disciples lieing. Funny is claim, that Acts can't be trusted historically, but still Acts are one of the best sources of First century Palestina evidence and no honorable and serious Historican agree with such sceptics even if the historican himself is atheist. Paul at the cort in front of pagan ruler testifies, that everybody knows what happened, everybody can go out ask and check evidence, and it is obvious that ruler has nothing to say, coz everybody REALLY knows what happenned. It is like try to say, that there were no 9/11 and all of it is fabrication of American propoganda, and we can't rely on eyewitness evidence, coz they show the same attitude to the event. -

Update on the JW aunt melodrama
by osmosis innot sure if she has actually sent that letter to the wts yet, but so far there has not been a response.
i wonder if they will respond at all, after all it's easy to say it got lost in the mail or something, much harder to make such excuses over the phone.
time will tell.

I am not JW, but just wandering, why do you believe science saying the evolution is true?
Have you investigated their claims and responses from scientests themselves that doubg evolution.
I would suggest better to get real Bible and not start from Genesis, but from Gospels. Then you will be able to fight them on their own field. -

Pressured
by mjs mouse, ben injw memorial is coming up, i told myself i'm not going this year, having a mother a couple brothers and two sisters still "in" all pressuring me to attend, saying things like "this may be the last memorial b4 the end", you've heard the spiel before.....crap like that is putting a lot a pressure on me this year, wish they would just stop it and worry about their own crappy lives!
