  Hi Pixel,

  In Matt 24:42-51, there is only one “slave” mentioned, not two as most JW’s would explain it if asked. Interestingly, the “Thousand Year…” book explains it this way too, but then concludes that there are two “slave classes” that somehow come out of the one “slave”. Of course, this is nuts and the latest GB change, even crazier! Anyway, there’s only one “slave” with two potential outcomes in illustration.

  My wife just told me to move out...

  because of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.

  she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

  Hey dude,

  I’m so very sorry for the way your wife is treating you. She’s conditioned to react this way, of course. You did have the right approach, however. Ask her to back up what she’s says from the scriptures when confronted (but only to a point). Also, have her explain from the Bible what an “apostate” is, since what is there in the Bible is far different from what the tower says.

  You also need to consider that you may not have presented the issues in a way that someone highly addicted to the stuff can deal with. You know, you're talking to someone on the worse kind of dope! So you may need to apologize. Please consider that you may be partly to blame. These people are so highly addicted! It’s like crack! Maybe worse than crack! So you really need to let the smoke clear! You may wish to not bring up the subject up for a long while and see if things can cool off. In any event, it’s hard to know what to tell you, because none of us know exactly what you are facing-we're not in your shoes. I say this in a kindly way. Please take care!

  lets admitt it guys, this org is the closest that anyone will ever get to the truth, i am not saying they are perfect, but maybe they just need a few modifications to some of their doctrines.. after all they are not that bad.. they don't execute people.

  they promote unity and peace among people.

  Technically, the statement is correct, because they do not know (they choose not to know), because that particular information from publisher record cards is not sent to Brooklyn. However, the statement that they don’t know who these people are seems begs the question as to how theycollectivelyprovide the “spiritual food at the proper time!” Obviously, this is a deception!

  it used to for me, and now it doesn't.. i'm not sure how i was able to accept that argument now that i don't, but perhaps it was connected with my increasing compassion for people and their personal suffering as i've grown older.. now it seems like a sick excuse.

  So God makes bets with the devil? Oh really? After taking another look at the book of Job, it seems that the court scene with the devil making bets with God is really a literary device. It’s like saying “what if” the reasons bad things happen to good people is because of some heavenly debates or challenges in the spirit realm. The entire book is full of “what if” conjectures. The final conclusion is that man has absolutely no knowledge or understanding about what happens outside his realm (and even inside his earthly realm he knows virtually nothing), thereby, conclusions based on faulty conjectures are futile, worthless.
