does anyone here know if the laws in arizona require a priest or minister or elder to report cases of child abuse to the authorities?
someone i know needs this information asap and you can probably guess why.. thanks..
Professionals Required to Report
Physicians, assistants, optometrists, dentists, etc etc.
Peace Officers, members of the clergy, priests or christian science practitioners
parents, stepparents or guardians.
school personnel or domestic violence victim advocates.
any other person who has responsiblity for the care or treatment of the minor.

I'm not an attorney, and my info is based on an internet search but it appears that any person of religious authority is required by Arizona law, to report any known child abuse.

This is awesome! I can switch her direction of spin back and forth. After a while she starts to look like one of the rockettes, with one leg up in the air and then the other is up in the air.

if jws really cared about making disciples they would never use outdated ways to get their "lifesaving message" across.

Oh this is good. The beginning of the video really shows the emotional manipulation they use with the magazines.
a close friend of mine who is still an active dub believes it is ok for a spouse to leave their partner if they found out that they did not believe the society had the truth.
in other words, if a loyal jw spouse found a copy of coc in their partner's possession, it's perfectly justified for that spouse to walk out on the marriage.
so i said to him, did jesus allow for divorce not only for fornication, but for possessing coc or simply no longer believing the society has the truth?

my babe (wife's approved nickname) finally vented today because it was her birthday, which we couldn't acknowledge, and she feels really emotional that she never had a chance at a real career, may have wasted her life, etc.... she may be coming around a bit but now this is really uncharted territory!.

Maybe you could make a card for her. Something along the lines of being thankful that she was born on this particular day xx years ago and therefore you were able to make her a part of her life.
As long as you don't use the words happy birthday, then maybe it will be enough to make her feel good, but won't be overstepping her wt trained conscience.
