  Why won't South Park parody the Witnesses

  There is a reference when everyone is in hell and a guy goes "I was a faithful JW and I'm in hell- why?" or something like that, and Satan checks his clipboard and says "It was the Mormons who had it right" and everyone goes "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  Pretty damn close. The j-dub on South Park referred to himself as a 'practicing Jehovah's Witness' and wanted to know why he wasn't selected to go to heaven. And then, as you mentioned, everyone was informed that only the Mormon's had it right and were going to heaven. I love South Park. They have had many references to the j-dubs.

  How are American Small businesses at a disadvantage?

  i've read this on the thread about minimum wage, and i own a small business, have run several small businesses (under 100 employees) and feel this is one of the easiest, least restrictive, and most profitable business demographics to be in.

  as a matter of fact, i do even better the smaller the business is.

  so...first off...do you own your own small business?

  My wife and I have two small businesses. Wife runs one, I run the other.

  My only concern is that of health care costs.

  Other than that, I see only advantages!

  If you worked for me at minimum wage and the government came in and increased your wage. I would fire you and hire a higher skilled worker. Is it because I don't like you? No. It's because I want to get my money's worth out of my employee. Since you did nothing to better yourself and only waited for Uncle Sam to force me to pay you more, I will instead find a way to get rid of your lazy ass and hire somebody that has higher skills and a better education.

  A higher minimum wage will not result in a better lifestyle for you. It will result in you having a great difficulty finding a job, or being unemployed.

  The best thing you can do for yourself is to find your passion and chase after it. Get an education if you can. Don't just complain about money and not having enough of it. Do something about it.

  Let's also be very clear here. I don't have an education. I don't have any special skills. What I do have is a work ethic. I work my ass off. Because I don't have an education I'm going to have to work much harder than everyone else and just maybe I'll make something of myself. At this point I live in a tiny apartment, I drive an older car and I have debt to repay. I am anything but bigoted towards unskilled worker as I consider myself to be underskilled at best, unskilled at worst.

  It's safe to say that anyone who is or was a j-dub understands that.

  Eliminate the minimum wage laws.

  People need incentives to better themselves. When you guarantee a minimum wage worker an increase in pay, you only guarantee that they will stay in that same unskilled position for the rest of their life.

  BTW.. We are all getting paid exactly what we deserve and not a penny less. Don't like what you're being paid? Then use it as incentive to better yourself. Whatever you are currently earning, it is you that agreed to that wage.

  I think the labor unions are a great example of what minimum wage laws have done on a lower scale. In a union position, the vast majority of union workers know that they have a guaranteed job at a guaranteed wage and in effect become the most lazy sob's on this planet. Minimum wage workers also know they are being paid a minimum rate, not because they deserve it, but because it is the law.

  they knocked on the door at 7 p.m wearing their badges.

  i didn't realize that they ever sent women out.

  actually we had a few sessions with a couple of mormon elders over a year ago.

  The hardest part is getting them out of their magic underwear. Once that task is done, the rest is easy!

  Preaching work - What other religion preaches??

  i know the mormons go door to door and i have seen some church of god people occasionally.

  who else has organized preaching ministries (door to door, etc.)?

  i'm in an ongoing dialogue with relatives and this is one of their contentions - that the witnesses must have the truth (despite the many fallacies) because they are the only one that go door to door preaching.

  That's always been the stink in the outhouse for me, as well. Witnesses may be daffy about the troof, but they are fullfilling one of the signs of the coming of the end of the age, Matthew 24:14. Scary, huh?

  So I guess it's either the mormons or the j-dubs that have it right. Flip a coin and pick a side! Who's got it right? Mormons or j-dubs? Tune in tomorrow to find out! Seriously though, the last few months I have been seeing mormons on a daily basis. I haven't seen that many j-dubs lately. The fact that two cults are achieving a fulfillment written in the bilble proves nothing. If the bible had been lost for all these years and then found after the fact that the j-dubs or mormons had preached their message across the world. Then maybe, just maybe I'd be a bit impressed. Possibly the bible did predict something! But the reality is,, the bible has been out there for a long time and it's not very impressive to see a group follow a command written in the bible and then proclaim: It is US! the wonderful j-dubs that the bible spoke of! It is our organization alone that is fulfilling this prophecy that everyone else could plainly read the previous two thousand years!

  I can just see it now. A sign on the kingdom hall bathroom door that states: Do not give toilet paper to disfellowshipped ones! Their asses are not welcome here!
