Hey Fleur,
I think we're related. My family is huge, consists of about 5 generations of j-dubs and is related to everyone!!!
Are we cousins?
i'd have to say at least 80% of jw's in my area are related in some way or another...kinda makes me feel sick thinking about it.
talk about reproductive anomalies with the gene pool getting so concentrated.... anyways i've noticed that families such as immigrant families or "new" ones who are not related at all to anyone are pretty much left out.
i know family is family... but in the truth isn't every one a "brother" or a "sister".
Hey Fleur,
I think we're related. My family is huge, consists of about 5 generations of j-dubs and is related to everyone!!!
Are we cousins?
i have been missing some meetings... i don't know what my jw teacher thinks.
i seriously could care less at this point.
i just don't want to do it anymore... i want to praise god my way... not because some else says this is the way.
If the JW have THE TRUTH... why are there not more JWs?
Very good question. I always found the JW teaching to be quite demeaning to non-witnesses. On the one hand, j-dubs preach that they and they alone have the truth,
on the other hand they teach that only a small number will follow the narrow path and that most will go off into destruction. What does that say about the majority?
That they're a bunch of idiots that are unable to tie their own shoes, let alone learn THE TRUTH?
As you asked aslready,, if the JW have the truth, why aren't there more jw's?
this in regard to mary's post of the july 15, wt "see the goodness of jehovah's organization".

there have been a number of important and exciting developments in the society during the first half of 2006. firstly, a large number of bethelites are being evicted (i wonder if the.
they consider themselves in the seat of Jehovah's chariot, but that chariot has no driver.
At one point we had a drunken driver(rutherford)
now we've got a driverless chariot, that's heading downhill with failed brakes and steering.
warning: ad nauseam quotes:.
keep free from murmurings - august 14, 2006 study.
par 16: murmuring focuses our min on ourselves and our troubles and pushes into the background the blessings we enjoy as witnesses of jehovah.
I've also noticed how many times the "faithful and discreet slave" are thanked in prayer. It's nauseating to say the least.
Yep, that's always been my pet peeve.
It rarely happens, but when I say a prayer on behalf of a group for dinner or whatever, I make it a point NOT to mention the FDS, GB, WT corp or anything like that.
I keep it biblical, short and to the point.
.
when i was a kid and on vacation in florida about 20 years ago, my dad had mentioned about an "apostate group" in florida and that it was called "jehovah's christian witnesses" supposedly they even had their own kingdom halls, how many others here are aware of this group and do they even exist still?
dave
By the way, the Jdubs were really pissed, and they banned small planes from flying over Dodger Stadium! LOL
What about Long Beach? Can we fly a plane over there this weekend?
the more i dwell on it, the more embarassed i am that i was ever a witness.
jws make big deals about nuthin'.
you can't say "bless you" if someone sneezes.
They play an f'd up version of jeopardy: Instead of "here is the answer, give us the question, it goes - Here is the answer, here is the question, give us the answer.
That's funny, yet so true. I'm going to remember that one. The WT study is not a study at all, as you say, it's an f'd up version of jeopardy.
a normandy resident who was disfellowshipped from jehovah's witnesses is suing the organization for $7 million on grounds the alleged action against her was wrong.
barbara joanna anderson filed the lawsuit thursday in coffee county circuit court.. she is seeking $2 million in compensatory damages, plus $5 million in punitive damages.. the defendants are listed as:.
* watchtower bible and tract society of new york inc.. * watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania inc.. * watchtower enterprises llc.. * watchtower foundation inc.. * watchtower associates ltd.. * kingdom support services inc.. * christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses.. * religious order of jehovah's witnesses.. * the watchtower group inc.. * manchester congregation of jehovah's witnesses elders.. * lawrence a. seely, gary hobson, dale dormanen, robert e. matthews, david semonian, j.r. brown, and john does no.
Regardless of the outcome of this lawsuit, I do believe that it will be negative for the WT. Even if the WT wins, they will receive negative publicity that exposes them
for what they really are. On the one hand, current members will consider this publicity as proof of being attacked and opposed by satan, but on the other hand, non-members
will be educated and very hesitant about joining this f'ed up cult.
when i first posted here, i explained that it was because although i am not, never have been, never will, be a jw, i have (earthly, as an atheist) loving concern for my jw neighbours/friends.. just recently, i found out that the mom is pregnant.
she is not young, has a 6 year old, and a 2 year old who is like a firecracker!.
i have offered to do basic things like take/collect the 6 year old to and from school, take the kids for walks on beach, etc.
No offense at all Joe.
I've been following your posts with interest. We're glad to have you here. You are a reminder that there are many good people in this world that want the best for
close friends, loved ones,, even neighbors.
It's funny though,, my mom(a current j-dub) would view you as an evil satanic influence trying to steer your neighbors into 'satan's trap'(a common JW phrase)
I, on the other hand view you as you really are. You have legitimate and justified concern for your neighbors who belong in this cult, and your doing your best to help them.
Keep up the great work Joe!
every once in awhile i will read comments about someone thinking a new anti-witness book needs to be written, to expose something.
well, recently i took the time to look over the search engines of the internet and found something interesting.
when you type in "jehovah's witness" or "watchtower", you found almost 3 to 1, negative sites and information on the witnesses.
I agree as stated above about only two groups caring about J-dubs,, however I do feel that as more books are written by new ex-jws, it validates and offers further proof to the
dark side of this religion. One anit-j-dub book could merely be an exception to the rule,, but when book after book after book is published by different authors, it shows a pattern,
and it's a pattern that is hard to ignore by more and more j-dubs each passing day.
nothing but net baby!!.
yeah that is her pregnant belly.
she does not know it yet, but the child is a mavs fan!.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's ok. road games are tough.
Miami will come back home with a 1-1 split. It's all good.
