when you ask your kids what is your favorite thing to do with your family and they say..when mommy reads to us and when I get to read to mommy cuddling in bed before bedtime...that is very cool!!

Love Is . . . . .
by nicolaou inwhen you give your 12 year old daughter a big squeeze when you get home from work.
she'll feign embarrassment and complain "oh dad" because she's not a 'kid' anymore but she won't pull away.

After years of not involving myself as a JW...I felt the need to go to church. I couldn't believe the political and just blatten idolism. So, I left after awhile. I stayed friends with some of the people..but, I am realizing that they are no different then the JW's. I like to call them the bible banging snobs. I thought that they were my friends, but as I continued in my new college education I found friends that I connected better with in the Art world. I finally fit in. And to those that have been JW's all thier lives they know what I mean. Anyway, I am moving..and this is my opprotunity to just silently disappear from these people. I am feeling that I am not being very nice but, I really enjoy my new friends...should I just tell my bible banger "friends" that I have moved on or just disappear quitely? I am 34 years old and I have so many problems with friendships..does anyone else share this with me? I can't seem to fight my damn lonelyness.

What is the meaning of Apostate?
by NiecyMe inthe dictionary defines apostate as "one who practices apostasy, to revolt".
doesn't this apply to just about anyone?
jw's wanted us to think that the word has more meaning into it then it really does.

This is my thought... Apostate is a word that exsist as a label. To depict someone out from another...like: black, rich, poor, ugly...ect. If anyone here has learned anything about life at all...open your eyes. We are not apostates!! we are people that love, give love and recieve love. We all breath the same air. So..to carry any label..you are just that "a label". trapped in a title that says that this is who you are and that is all?! to be something is to become nothing first. God only sees the colors of your spirit....is that not what we should only try to see in all people. Freedom is all we need. From eachother and from ourselves.

The way the words are twisted, making one scripture contradict the others. The Bible is what it is (a Guide Book to a better life). No more NO Less!! People want to pretend that there is some type of Omega message between the lines. I do believe that some of what JW's teach is true, but not much. I have also found truth in many other religions, but in all there are many lies. There is only 2 words that I have ever had for all of them "prove it." The funny thing is ..that is what Jehovah will be asking them to on judgement day. I and I only I will have to answer to only him. What do you think? Is it a Guide or a Message?

JW's wanted us to think that the word has more meaning into it then it really does. When I was a child my father and others would make me think that they were some kind of monsters that would suck out our holy spirit. I remember seeing them at large conventions and being so scared that I wouldn't let go of my father. It was a bad as the boggy man under my bed. Is this who we are? I don't think so. We are the light at the end of the tunnel. So, tell me what are some better names besides apostate.

Help --Pre-JW Faithful and Discreet Slave??
by lynnmelo inhi, folks.
for those who may not remember my previous posts, i'm someone who has been studying with the jw's for about two years but didn't commit (i.e., get baptized) because, as i thought then, i was just too selfish and cowardly to join up with the jw's.
that's before i found this site and watched the dateline video on the child molestation problem.

This is sad. I mean you are sad. It sounds like you might think that you might have your own ideas about what JW's are doing with you. Don't you have the self confidence in yourself to just say NO? Why agree to meeting with them if you don't want to? The problem is not them..it is you. You know that thier mind probing is getting to you and you are allowing it to continue. Why hide the way that you feel about them? Are you afraid? Because if you are..they have got you were they want you and know they are bringing in the big guns (elders). Your lucky that they don't bring the overseer with them. There is nothing to be afraid of...take a break and just educate yourself. Read the Bible...NOT thiers. A bible that hasn't been change to much...(King James or NIV). Read several at the sametime ...as I did. The answers are right in front of you. AND THEN TELL THEM TO GET LOST!! You can do this. Let me know how it went. Sorry about being so hard on you.

What would it be like if I weren't brain washed for over 20 years?
by NiecyMe inhello...this is my first posting.
i heard about this web page from a friend that has a boyfriend that is trying to live life out of the clutches of jw's for the last 2 years.
i have found that even though i haven't been involved with jw's for about 10 years, thier nails run deep.

Sheepish...thank you. (and thank you everyone). It is very much a false guilt. I have learned a lot in the many years. I even started going to local church, but it ended the same thing. They want to claim that they are the true congregation of God. Are these people mad! Sometimes I wonder why there are so many stupid people in the world. Over the years I have studied and studied the Bible, reading it through about 5 times so far. So, many people are so wrong. The way the words are twisted, making one scripture contradict the others. The Bible is what it is (a Guide Book to a better life). No more NO Less!! People want to pretend that there is some type of Omega message between the lines. There is only 2 words that I have ever had for all of them "prove it." The funny thing is ..that is what Jehovah will be asking them to on judgement day. I and I only I will have to answer to only him. ....and by the way ...here's a little fact...in the orginal versions of the Bible (the scrolls)...God was never refered to as a male or female (look it up). Maybe we insult "him" every time we open our mouths, by referring to "him" as a male..in turn a human. God is no human. So, maybe "he" isn't listening to anyone and what JW's say is true...we are in hell. Maybe, Paradise has already come for those that deserved it. I mean think about it..if we were in hell why would Satan want us to know, that would defeat the purpose of the torture. What do you think?
