Well, let's just say I laugh at a larger and wider variety of topics now.

She added that if the creature inside the frog grows to be too large for the frog's womb, they have researchers on hand to remove the embryo and continue it's gestation outside the frog, similar to techniques performed at Duke University's School of Medicine.
yeah yeah, I'm pedantic, but that error bothers the heck out of me

Spiritual food at the proper time - 100 years ago - Sept 15, 1905.....
by AK - Jeff intaken from the september 15, 1905 zion's wiatch tower : .
question.--is it correct to say that the "sacrament," the memorial supper, symbolizes the appropriation of christ's righteousness by faith in his sacrifice?
if so, has not a person who is justified by faith, but who has not yet made a consecration, a perfect right to partake of the emblems?.

Russell's saying you can be justified but not have the heavenly calling as joint-heirs. Justified xtians would be of the great company who go to heaven but aren't kings and priests; consecrated xtians who partake are joint-heirs and go to heaven as part of the 144,000.
The Bible can turn decent, intelligent men into loonies real quick-like.

Do you have a personal/family emergency evacuation plan?
by Billygoat inafter witnessing the aftermath of katrina and what she did to the unprepared evacuees, mozz and i decided it was time to put together our emergency evacuation plan.
we started by simply going to www.redcross.org.
there is a search engine on the top right side of their website and i entered "emergency disaster plan".

Not really. I live in Buffalo so our biggest worry in being buried under 7 ft. of snow, which happened in 2000, 1985, and 1977. I stock up on food and meds anyway, since I live alone and am disabled. Oh, also I'm near Niaraga Falls, which produces power for much of the Northeast and has its own major Airforce base, so the terrorists would likely come after those which means I'm certain to be fried.

anyone notice e-watchman's new book?
by Dogpatch inrobert king has a new anti-org book out, so it looks like he is the new seer to the world from what he says.
isn't this the "you know" that used to plague the boards?
here we go with the watchtower is right but all the leaders are wrong, so i reluctantly have to write this book so all will know that i am a prophet!

I first read "The Report" in 1997. Yes, King's book contains some similarities. But I don't think he plagiarized them. I'm quite sure his book contains ideas he himself formulated over the years. Besides, his spelling and grammar is much better than White's/TWMC's.

Watchtower prediction of religion's demise looking bad
by Cygnus ingoldman is struck by the surge of religious intensity throughout the world.
he mentioned the rise of fundamental islam in the middle east, political power of the religious right in america and the dedication to faith of israeli settlers.
"this is something that is happening on a global basis," goldman said.

OldSoul, okay I gotcha. Rhodes just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. But yeah, I suppose his writeups on how God does not work through an organization might be halfway decent to make use of in this circumstance.

Jehovah's Witnesses Turning 85 Jay St. Into Big Park? Time will tell!
by Dogpatch injehovah's witnesses turning 85 jay st. into big park?
for a religious organization with such good-natured followers as michael jackson, a lot of people sure are curious about what the jehovah's witnesses are up toespecially in dumbo/vinegar hill.
some time has passed since the announcement of their 85 jay st. plans, the plans that terrified so many, with little action on the plot of land (above).

Annie, hi :)
I still don't understand how and why the WTS got away with everything they did
It might have something to do with the fact that, at least in times past, the WTS hides their identity behind their lawyers and real estate people and so when they buy up property from somebody, it's not known who exactly is doing the buying. From stories I hear eminenating out of Brooklyn, when I was still a dub, lot of times the WT has gotten property on the cheap, and when the seller finds out it was the Watchtower, they kick themselves because they know the WT is rich and they could have asked a higher selling price.
