  Jehovah's Witnesses Accuse E-Watchman

  saw this on another forum.

  some jehovah's witnesses are now accusing e-watchman (robert king) of plagiarism in an effort to discredit him.

  TWMC and "The Report" were around far before e-watchman, but there's no way King ripped them off. That's my take on it.

  hi folks.

  i am new to this board and since i am currently undergoing bible study with a jw elder, thought it would be a good idea to expose myself to other viewpoints on what i am learning from him.. a while ago i read "should you believe in the trininty".

  having had a barely adequate education, i knew a lot of the names of the father's cited therein but had never really read anything they wrote.

  Leolaia is much smarter than I. All I can say is I recognized the Society to be dishonest when arguing against the trinity, but that doesn't make it untrue. It has its own internal logic, but a lot of its statements are far-fetched. The Jon 8:58 example is the worst. John 1:1 can be "a god" grammatically and trinitarians dislike it on purely thelogical grounds, even though they don't fully understand JW christology very well.

  A Jew once told me that the Messiah being YHWH is anathema to them. I don't see anything in the OT that says the Messiah was already alive in heaven. People have bastardized John's prologue (the pronoun is neuter, i.e. "it (the LOGOS) created all things"and 1 Colossians (which speaks of the new creation, not the creation of the universe). If I were a believer I'd seriously consider the fact that Jesus came into existence when he was born, as do Christiadelphians and Abramahic Faith.

  CT Russell, a Great Pyramid Faker!

  in the other thread i started, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/98474/1.ashx, it is shown that charles taze russell obtained measurements critical for his obtaining significant prophetic dates from the great pyramid, such as the year he believed jesus returned (1874), by measuring line figures in a diagram from a book written by pyramid expert dr piazzi smyth!

  it is now apparent that russell did more than that!

  ct russell actually made up a critical measurement number from the pyramid that he used in his calculation!

Several hundred million on this planet believe in an invisible man in the sky who has 10 rules you cannot break, and if you do he'll send you to a place of fire and screaming and agony and pain and suffering.................... but he loves you.

That same hour they got up and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven and their companions gathered together."

  So which was it, Galilee or Jerusalem?

  D. Whom did they see at the tomb?- The angel (Matt. 28:2) vs. a young man (Mark 16:5) vs. two men (Luke 24:4) vs. two angels (John 20:11-12)

  E. Were these men or angels inside or outside the tomb? -Outside (Matt. 28.2) vs. inside (Mark 16:5, Luke 24:3-4, John 20:11-12).

  F. Were they standing or sitting? - Standing (Luke 24:4) vs. sitting (Matt. 28:2, Mark 16:5, John 20:12).

  G. Did Mary Magdalene know Jesus when he first appeared to her?-Yes, she did (Matt. 28:9) vs. no she did not (John 20:14)

  russell, was a prominent free mason in the pittsburgh community.

  he went so far as to declare: "i am a free mason" in several of his lectures.

  my preferred social construct would be a group of 5 to 10 men sharing space, chores, well everything.. if i were heterosexual i think i would prefer the same situation, 2 or 3 families living together and sharing all.. actually i believe this should be a worldwide goal, total community in every sense of the word.. i see no advantage served by social and sexual diads.. please explain it to me.

  Rex, I'm not going to waste my time explaining dating methods and the utter stupitidy of Henry Morris. If you want to believe that nonsense, go ahead. I'm a hypocrite because while I lean to the conservative side, a lot of my views are liberal, yet I don't vote. I just wish to see real scientists to their jobs without having to deal with creationists and their attempts to get ID in the classrooms.
