  Scriptures to make a JW think?

  i'm looking for scriptures that you believe a doubting jw would read that would cause them to think a bit.

  Well I guess I'll add a few. Prov 14:17 " The man of thinking ability will be hated". These two are for the Unnointed: Abraham and men of old in heaven. Matthew 8:11 and Heb 11:13-16. Also were not Moses and Elijah in the transfiguration next to Jesus?? Just something to think about if, THEY use their THINKING ABILITY

  SERVICE REPORT 2005 : WATCHTOWER FEB 1ST 2006

  i have had a quick look and found no references to this, so - here goes..as in the mag we picked up on sunday.. worldwide % increase over 2004 = 1.3%.

  memorial partakers 8524 (compared to 8570 in 2004).

  most european and nth american lands show pretty static figs - britain 1% increase, canada 0%, germany 0%, france 1%, usa 0%... but spare a thought for the inhabitants of zambia where 1 person in 90 is a reporting witness, must be hell going down to the local market!

  David2002, The good news the WTS preaches is not the same good news the Apostles preached. The Apostles preached: Christ came, died and got ressurected. The WTS with all their literature and nice pics of lions and lambs having a drink together at the local pub are two different things.The apostles never preached about a paradise earth.

  The 144,000 and what makes them tick.

  i havent been to a kh since i was a teenager and was always intrigued by the 144,000 and that some supposedly resided in my congregation.. questions about them were inevitably met with ambiguous answers.

  "they just know they are" was a favourite reply when i asked how these "anointed ones" received their calling.

  has anyone known any jws who reckon they're in the 144,000 club, and what makes them think they are?.

  as a witness, i knew several men who attempted to grow beards.

  when they did, and attended meetings, it did not take long to be talked to by elders and told, "as spiritual men, they should not display an outward form of rebellion.

  This is exactly the topic that got me started researching on the net. It seems that Judge Rutherford wanted to distance himself from Charles Taze Russell. This included beards. I remember reading about some brothers from overseas coming to the US and needing money for printing machines. Well the Judge told the brother to shave off his beard and then we'll talk. I will try to find this and post it for ya. Funny how all brothers say that its a stumbling issue to have a beard. I ask you, whats more stumbling having a beard or the WTS joining the UN.

  ita funny last night i looked through some awakes from 1991 through 2001.and i saw a lot of refrences saying the un is the beast from revaltion there is also a article about the pope visiting the un.you should all read it its the 1996 awake7/8 funny thing is why would some one who is surporting the un say these things about them.ovesly some people ar cluthing at straws

  You know whats funny. I asked a elder once why no brothers have beards? His response was that it could be stumbling to others. Now I ask you, whats more stumbling : 1 A brother with a beard or 2 The WTS joining the UN??????

  ...stop the information that the marvelous tool the internet provides all who seek its inner workings?.

  what will they actually be able to do about the momentum of facts, backed by documents and other evidence, that seem to be gaining at a faster pace these days?.

  would they, could they actually hear a miraculous voice that of jehovah telling them that the internet is a tool of satan and then produce a scripture the flock would see as divine guidance through the gb, thus through a new article {new light} that they must give it up completely?.

  FREELOADER PIONEER SISTER USING MY STUFF BUT I GET YELLED AT!

  my mom's got this pioneer sister friend who stays at our house every weekend (she stays in some remote town that's far away from the hall) and i go into my bathroom cabinet this morning and she used up half the bottle of daily oil control cream for my face i had in there.

  i mean ladies, you already know how expensive those things are!

  and i would always just use a pint size amount so the bottle was filled to capacity.

  No Service Year Report on the 2004 WT-CD

  i was hopeful that i'd find the statistics on the 2004 wt-cd but there is none.

  the 4-page section is simply missing there.. would you point me to somewhere i can find the numbers for the 2003 service year (published in the wt jan/1/04) ?.

  scans would be great... the site www.jwic.com doesn't do 'cause doesn't have the numbers(i'd be interested in the growth column).. thanks.
