  here is a little post for all you people who believe in god, or at least the god that the bible presents to us.

  first off, why would an all powerful being thrive on his creation's worship?

  that is a little selfish if you ask me, and a little childish.

  Hey everybody. thanks for all of your comments. This is turning very interesting. in a response to something somebody said, about somebody can murder and still not be completely cold-hearted. Yes, i agree totally. This is perfectly true. However, God supposedly is PERFECT. He is NOT human. And he is the most loving being in the universe according to the Bible. If this is true, then help us all, because he is far from non-violent. would u expect a loving christian to take part in war? i wouldn't. But God has slaughtered in wars by the Thousands. And there are several scriptures in the Bible that say God does have evil in him, or performs evil works, however there are also scriptures saying god is completely pure ( go figure ).

  Anyways, to clear things up a little bit, i'm not atheist, but i think the bible is a fairy tale as valid as any other book, like the books the moslems use, the books the hindus use, etc. The only reason i DO still believe in god is because i think the theory of evolution is the funniest thing i've ever heard. oh yeah, great illustration with the cyanide in a room thing too. kudos on that one.

That is a little selfish if you ask me, and a little childish. that'd be like building a masterpiece, and then expecting it to thank you every day of it's life instead of doing what it was designed to do. I believe we were designed to enjoy the earth to it's fullest, and each other's company. Also, God is a very big contradiction. Hmmm....let me make it a horrible crime for people to kill people, but i can do it cuz i'm God! wOot! Give me a break. how about this one. I will answer some people's prayers, but not others. People die every day DESPITE desperate prayers. yet others pray for some extra money and win the lottery! God must be on their side. and i don't buy that bull that God "works in mysterious ways". just waiting to hear your thoughts!

  i like to wonder, and be able to think independent of any subject or topic thats provoke me.

  even if these subjects are "weird" or not.. it look like sometimes ,there is topics that seems to already been explained seriously as hoaxes.

  so dont even bother to try to explain it otherwise,or if u want to maintain serious.. well here is a challenge for you.. try to explain these images.. since 1980 these crop circles has appeared ,and increased every year.. what do u think of this circle that appeared today.

  I had to reply to this topic, considering i have no idea why this topic has lasted for so long. This has already been proven to be a hoax. So more complex circles have appeared. What can it mean? That more clever people are finding ways to do these circles. How can these people do it without being seen? and in 1 hour? First of all, who's clocking the time it takes for these circles to be done? If a farmer says that it's not there, then one hour later it is, sounds like he's in on it too. Secondly, not being seen doing the circles? are there really video cameras in the middle of these fields taping the wheat growing? It would be quite easy to do this in the middle of acres of fields without being seen for quite some time, especially if the land were owned by the people doing it. Aahhhhh..

  i hope they will be helpful to jehovah's witnesses on this board, as well as to all who believe in god.

  i think i have phrased the questions fairly, without emotionalism, and have not distorted the meaning of the bible stories (comments?)..

  as many may know, i'm still a teenager.

  i'm not willing to reveal my age, which is one less than 17 or one more than 15. but i just wanted to get your guys' opinion on sex before marriage.

  a lot of people here have kinda lost their "watchtower" and biblical standards as i have gathered.

  Thank you guys for all the great responses. I do think sex after marriage is a bit old fashion, and as somebody said, it is "conditioned", instilled into us, that before marriage it is wrong. Thank you for all your comments. I certainly appreciate the contraceptive advice. I will definitely make sure that my first time, whenever it may be, is with protection in more than one way, and that my partner is safe. Thank you all once again.

  Help - I'm in Love

  hi i work with a smart, sexy, single jw who i get a along with great and over the years i've developed enormous affection for her.

  based on this i don't want to do anything to hurt her.

  i am not a witness and though i would like to pursue her romantically my sense is if she were to accept my overtures it could ruin her life since her family is very involved in witnessing and close association with one such as me could lead to reprimands for her.. my question is this.

  I guess I'm kinda a hopeless romantic, but i personally think love can overcome ALL. Love is the only thing in this world worth living for. You have a lot to lose, but so much can be gained too.
