not to be confused with another family member also referred to as "m".. report: .
during phone conversation with m, m expressed concern that we may be having too much contact in view of my df'd status.

my understanding of the greek phrase "the theos of the aionas" in 2nd cor 4:4 is "jehovah god" because there are no small gods in the greek grammar.
if anybody has information to prove or disprove this idea please respond.

No, not a "KJV Onlyist"
wt 8/25/2002 .
add godly devotion to your endurance 2 peter 1:5,6. in days gone by, the wt study article scriptures were quoted in entirety sometimes taking a separate paragraph.
nowadays, there are mostly snippets, only the part they want to emphasize), citations (for the publisher to look uphahathey are lucky the publisher reads the article), and occasionally when it is unavoidable, a complete scripture is quoted.
I know this topic has nothing to do with divorce, but since blondie is willing, I'll add my 2 cents:
I've not kept records, but a significant number (I would guess approx 30-40%) of all JWs I've known in this area have been divorced (while JWs), or are in very precarious marriages. Includes many that I would "never have thought" would be divorced. Basically, only those couples over 60 seem to be stable.

I'll let you know when the first "installment" of my Trinity debate with the Baptist seminary student is published. I'm rather interested in seeing his rebuttals.

Hey, YOU RETIRED!!!!
hehe
have you heard the song "stuck in a moment you cant get out of" by u2 ?
i was listening to this today and it got me thinking........... i have decided that i will no longer be contributing to this forum.... at least for the meantime.
this forum has helped me in every way that i need to be helped, and for that i thank everyone who played a part in this.. i guess i have achieved my goal now.
IBD....and just tonight I finally got for the first time to chat with you!!
I appreciate your decision. In the short 2 months I have been here, I have seen others too reach a point where they feel it's time to move on. Actually, that makes me feel good about myself.....I can be confident that I also will heal from these wounds and get on with a new borg-free life!
Good luck, best wishes, and looking forward to your return!

hi everyone, i've been reading on this board for some time now because i have some childhood friends that are in this organization, and would like to find out a way i could help them to some how see it for what it really is.
i'm not a jw nor have i ever been.
i truly feel for some of the hurts you all have been through.
Capp: Welcome indeed!!
You're apparent concern for your fellowman is very much in line with the purpose of this forum, and what I personally find the most rewarding value of being here myself. Much to learn, from all perspectives!
Sincerely,
Craig
....was the question i kept asking myself while flying home from seattle.
i swear i must have been suspicious looking to other people around me as i was quite skiddish and nervous while on the flight.
ball asked me how i felt about that.
A fishing expedition, like the several to which I was "invited."
I'm not a betting man, but I would lay money on this that they won't let you off the hook until you are "back in" or else. WTS has entered (ala early 80s) another "witch-hunt" phase, and folk like you are prime targets.
Good luck, and my best wishes!
Craig
