Can't say it better, except to add from me to you:
Xandria and hubby....my hopes and best wishes are with you both.

what is the purpose of being a jehovah's witness?
i was always told it was to be a witness of jehovah, meaning you stood up for and defended your faith, your beliefs.
i realize that this is a hard thing for some to do, it takes bravery, knowledge, faith and a convection that what you believe is right.
((biker)) You are such a wonderful person, and the epitome of a loving mother!

PS: That's what the purpose of being a JW should be...love.

of course i know that many of you here do not believe in the bible and its promise of a resurrection.
some of you do not even believe in a creator.
but those of you apostates that still do believe in a resurrection back to life, you would no doubt agree that not everyone of those who are resurrected will come back to life all at once.
Lefty (whoever): Who the heck do you think you are? You deride wonderful folks like Tammy....Would Jesus do that?? Go back to Christianity 101.
For you to quote Scripture is like expecting mountain spring water to come out of a cesspool.

Matthew 19:30 ++: " But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first."
Though I firmly believe in the resurrection, I also know that it was a ridiculous waste of time for me to concern myself with the numerous WTS interpolations on the process, timing or protocol of the resurrection. 99% of what they speculate on this matter is not founded in Scripture.
Also, compared to an eternity, a mere few hundreds of years will quickly "come out in the wash." Otherwise, we would have a perpetuation of a "classed" Society of "early rezzies" and "late rezzies."
Sincerely, Craig
PS: Please don't misunderstand my post as a slam on your thread. Your question just touched a nerve.
Hi back at ya!
If you follow the typical geometric progression here, your 1 word today will tomorrow be 2 words, then 4 words, 8, 16, 32.....and soon you will be posting volumes!
Welcome to the forum!

so i've been gone for a few months, get off my back already.
actually, the us army is keeping me busy, but they've decided to promote me to the rank of sergeant first class with the corresponding $300.00 a month pay raise.
i'll read and post from time to time, just wanted to let ya'll know i'm still alive.. blessings.
Yeru: As a born and raised JW, I never served in the military. But one thing I distinctly remember...I always had (and still have) respect for the active duty and veteran soldiers I met; they show the guts to put their lives on the line for what they believe.
My hand is out to you! Looking forward to reading your comments here.

anyone remember the one where kirk got mixed up in the transporter and spit into two people?
one kirk was mean and violent and nasty and tried to feel up yoman rand and swore a lot and attacked people for no good reason.
the other kirk was sweet and nice and he seemed better, but he was kind of a woosie and couldn't make a decision or do anything meaningful except talk about denuvian slime bread toppings and he couldn't even get a bulge in the spandex for yoman rand, but at least he was polite.. gosh, i don't know what made me think of this episode.. night all,.
Farkie, that explains a lot about why you have such a peculiar viewpoint of the universe....a Star Trek deprived man is like a fish without a bicycle.
hehe

Talk about a childhood memory! I still remember like it was yesterday that the original Star Trek series aired on a meeting night, I never got to see an entire original episode. I especially remember the one where the Enterprise was taken in tow by a vessel that was commanded by a very ominous looking creature, and after much effort, eventually caused the alien vessel to burn out it's engines. Turned out that the pilot was actually a midget, using the persona evoked by a puppet to intimidate the Enterprise crew.
I now have the Sci-Fi channel, watch ST reruns like a long-lost part of my childhood.
lately, i see a trend going on regarding how congregation members view the elders.
more and more, i hear people say "i wouldn't tell anything to the elders if they questioned me.years ago all an elder had to say is "we want to talk with you" and a meeting commenced.
now, there is a view that the elders can't tell me what to do anymore.
NOPE!!!!! NO WAY!!!! NADA!!!!
My Bethel evaluation included remarks about being "independent minded," my first df'ing was a direct result of openly expressing my thoughts about WTS doctrine with the elders and the CO, and my last df'ing was a direct result of the same.
I was taught well, from a very early age, to fear no man and speak the truth. That cuts both ways.
I say what I feel, damn the torpedoes....full speed ahead.
