"Twelve years down the toilet..."
Well, you've got the advantage on me, that's for sure! Took me 38 years to see the light.
Sheesh.
Welcome Brandy, you're in the right place!

i spent an hour looking at this site and decided to join.

i have believed that the great tribulation begins with some sort of nuclear attack on the united states.. events are emerging which increase the probability of such an event.. the archrivals at the end scene are the us and russia.
russia is in a dire state.
its economy hangs by a thread.
"Of course I have a scriptural basis for all my assumptions."
"Chip away. I can defend it - completely."
"...you are trying to evade the possibilities I describe."
"You certainly haven't said anything that would show my speculation is far-fetched."
I make a lot of assumptions, consider many possibilities, and speculate frequently. I've learned the hard way recognize them for what they are, and for what they're not.
I no longer make life-changing decisions based on such conjectures.

i was very sure that i was, for several years (in the 80's).
never ate/drank the emblems.
don't feel that way now at all.. i knew a few others my age that had a similar experience.. fantasy?.
<<Pouring used motor oil on Dismembered's head>>
There, feel better?
Is that Ted Jaracz?
to be able to properly "encourage one another, more so as you behold the end drawing near", we as jw's were instructed to do the following: .
(1) stay after the meeting for "upbuilding association", and .
(2) rather than talk about mundane things of life, discuss the finer points of the meeting just held.
Sheesh...not many True Believers on this board, eh? LOL
does there come a point in a nasty argument when an intelligent person realizes there is no good to be acomplished, only hurt?
does it show weakness or strength to stop a ping-pong-ball of insult trading?.
is there ever a time when walking away and letting your opponent have the last word is really the winning position?.
When the debate degrades to mud-slinging, I tune out and turn off. Rather have a prostate exam than put up with that kind of....
And the mud-slingers? I just LOVE the "ignore" button.
As for Bush...he was never even on my radar hehe

Goshawk: "Worried me a bit at the time would he be in heaven and not on earth with the rest of us."
Yeah, for real...I thought about that too. Tried to visualize how I would talk to and visit with my fam, me being a spirit and all. But, angels have materialized, eh? Hmmm
Dede: "I like memorial bread." Washed it down with some WildTurkey?
Nathan: "They're especially good with a few slices of ham betwix 'em!" So what happened to the KOSHER thing??
minimus: I suggest that perhaps you should just settle for being one of the new "Nethinim" class! Rubbing elbows with all those GB anointed will surely be efficacious. hahahaha
blondie: "I think we are all pretty special around here." RIGHT ON, GIRL, RIGHT ON!!!!

i was considering revealing my identity soon, but had a thought.
although i'm not active, i am well respected by my family and the witnesses from my past.
perhaps i could do more good for my family/friends and massive damage to the wt if i was to become active again.
IMHO, I think you should do whatever is in YOUR best interests.
Whatever you may or may not be in a position to do "against" the WTS is secondary.

Dragon: Yes, confused...and disoriented, perhaps nonplussed ("suggests a more intellectual surprise at some irrational incongruence" S.I. Hayakawa).
Sunshine: I still can't stand those bland healthy-for-you crackers! LOL
Robyn: "I didn't talk about it to anybody." Neither did I, except my parents and (now ex-) wife. What a joke, that something so personal should be verboten.

is it just me, or did someone die around here?
the board seems to have taken a huge dumper.
a knaves religion is always the rottenest thing about him.
RM, I haven't been on the board all that long, but I've talked with others who were here since day One, and apparently things that have happened here recently are just part of the "cycle."
This forum is still the very best place I've ever seen!
