  Why This Site Needs Advertising

  when i joined this board around the the turn of the last century, it was rather small and comfy.

  there were the usual cliques as there are everywere in life, and newbies like me were outsiders.

  we were scrutinized and evaluated and judged for worthiness.

  For some time there was a PayPal banner on the top of the screen, whereby donations could be made to support JWD. I haven't seen it for quite a while.

  I'll add my thanks to the others. It hasn't always been 100% satisfaction, but all things considered, it's pretty darn good.

  I knew, and know, a lot of JWs that care about me. Because I'm df'd, they don't call, but I know they'd take my call, and would be glad to hear from me, and genuinely inquire about my welfare.

  Finally, clear skies and the rivers are dropping below flood stage.

  Hwy 26 at Staleys was hip deep in water, and Vernonia just about got washed off the planet.

  I haven't heard if I-5 at Chehalis has reopened. Think of it: the main federal highway through Washington was closed for days! Wow!

  My cousin died yesterday.

  he was 43, just a few months older than me.

  his kidneys failed him when he was just 15 and he'd been on dialysis ever since.

  a couple of transplants had failed in the early years and his body deteriorated after that.

  The closest I ever came to a public display was at the last Memorial I attended. I was sitting close up against a wall, and when the speaker started talking about the 144,000, I laughed (under my breath, or so I thought).

  Half of the KH looked in my direction...and that was the last time I was ever in a Hall.
