i was reading jjrizo's thread about elders who take advantage of the kh, and i had a memory i'd like to share.

all my life growing up i had heard about how "jehovah takes care of those who put kingdom interests first.

" and all of those experiences on the platform about getting an envelope "with the exact rent amount due the day before we were to be evicted" and so on.

Frankly, if we met and you told me how to use language appropraitely, surely someone with your intelligence understands the hazards of doing so. That's reality.

Now, I dont have a problem with opinions...what I have a problem with, is you telling the rest of this board what is and isn't appropriate as to form of communication....and in essence... you are NOT stating an opinion...but dictating to us.

Your View On Capital Punishment

we all know the bible's view on capital punishment.

in fact, in the 1969 edition of aid to bible understanding, the author notes the following: .

"the value of life is considered so sacred by god that the blood of a murdered person is viewed by him as defiling the earth and such defilement can be cleansed only by shedding the blood of the murdered.

Against Capital Punishment here. System is too corrupt here in the states, and imperfect, and too many have died already. I favor the Life Imprisonment. I have no problem paying taxes to keep them incarcerated.

Another reason is, the FUN AND MENTALIST's(clarity, fundamentalist). Hey, they feel death by execution serves their purpose. Deny them from becoming a martyr.

To me, capital punishment let's the criminal off to easy. Let them sit and rot in a cell for the rest of their life for the appropriate offense they've commited. This also serves as a safety net, for those who were mistreated by the judicial system. But, that's my opinion.

Tissues or Hankies ??

time for a bit of fluff, methinks..... which do you use - tissues or hankies?.

i use tissues, cos i don't see any reason why i would want to put something i've blown my nose on in with the rest of my laundry .

I try to avoid using Hank's tissues, especially if it's already been use.

I use what's available: Tissue, toilet paper, paper towels, my sleeve, socks, cloth towels, shirts, or hold one nostril down with my finger and letting the wad blow through the open one.....and I'm kidding.

I use tissue.

jehovah's witnesses proclaim the good news of the kingdom under the power of god's holy spirit.

jesus commanded his followers to preach in the most distant parts of the earth and promised them that the spirit of god would guide them in this life-saving work (acts 1:8).. without the spirit of god, one cannot continue preaching about jesus and god's kingdom (matthew 24:14).

one surely will not have god's spirit if one preaches a negative message (against jehovah's servants) from door to door.

Well, well, well. You really think your intellect is superior eh? I'll give you some credit you are smart. What makes you my favorite pet, is that you have the total lack of imagination to change who you are. Same damn pattern HildaMystiNonComforter. You start out strong, but when you progress in your so called arguments, you always...ALWAYS resort to your same pattern.

Now honestly my pet, dont respond with the same old "huh, who? What? Not me bull crap." Lets just for-go this part of it, for the sake of not making an ass of your self.

I've given you this advice before, but you fail to heed it; You ALWAYS resort to the same pattern of sentence structure, and use of words and phrases. Had this been someone else, it would at least be different in some aspect. Not the same.

You are not a Jehovah Witness. You claim to be and start threads, but do not stick to issues at hand. You are more concerned about proving some sort of superior intellect here. Your presence is not to discuss, nor bring out points, or argue, or debateits for your self glory.

Im not going to say that you shouldn't be here, nor am I going to say you have no right to what you have to say.

What I am saying is; Im going to point you out, for your game of deception, that you like to play these silly little games.

Supreme Court Backs Door to Door Solicitors

washington (june 17) - the constitution protects the right of missionaries, politicians and others to knock on doors without first getting permission from local authorities, the supreme court ruled monday.. the court struck down a local law that leaders of a small ohio town said was meant to protect elderly residents from being bothered at home - a law challenged by the jehovah's witnesses, whose religion calls for doorstep proselytizing.. with two weeks left in the court term, the justices still have more than a dozen high-profile cases to decide, including legal disputes involving the death penalty and government vouchers for church schools.. in other cases decided monday, the justices:.

- ruled that police who want to look for drugs or evidence of other crimes do not have to first inform public transportation passengers of their legal rights.

the court rejected arguments that passengers, confined to small spaces, might feel coerced.. - decided that the internal revenue service can use estimates of cash tips received by restaurant staff to make sure it is collecting enough social security taxes from their employers.. - rejected arguments that texas redistricting hurt hispanics.

I dont see what the hoop-lah is all about on this. This is about obtaining a permit from local (to national) government, in order to solicit to people on their private property. Does this ruling in anyway NEGATE YOUR PERSONAL AND LEGAL RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY OR REMOVE ANYONE from your private property? NO it does NOT. It's just about the permit being issued by government. If you don't want people on your private property, I highly suggest everyone to research their local, county, state, and national private property rights. If you dont want anyone at your door, on your driveway, within your private property...you have the RIGHT (legal and personal) to prevent and refuse entry to anyone. (errr, unless it's a criminal matter in which there is a warrant and/or extreme circumstances which allow law enforcement to come upon your property).

People like to put up NO TRESPASSING signs, so that if anyone does enter their private property uninvited get a WARNING on doing so. BEWARE OF DOG helps also.

For people in WA state; I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest that you get in contact with your local (it's easier this way) police department and inquire about your private property rights. I think you will be suprised as to how far your rights go in this state, as to those uninvited guests at your door (hint hint). A simple phone call, or walk in to the local police station and just ask about it.

i follow the threads on legal questions with interest because somewhere inside me is this voice yelling at me to get back at those bastards that lied to me and my family and all the other good people i have come to know here and abroad.

i too carry a lot of anger with me from my experience as a witness.
