The same reason "Why...": ...did the dinosaurs become extinct? ...do people die in natural disasters? ...is there war? ...were the Teletubbies created? ...is there death? ...do astroids smash in to other planets somewhere in this Universe thus destroying an advance civilization that was going to make contact with Earth the next day? WHY??? Because you touch yourself at night, and you should be ashamed.
it seems that politics are once more taking over the board.. when things are discussed properly it's not a problem but alas, it seems some can't help but start throwing insults and labels around.
i keep reading about "you left wing communist loving liberals" and "right wing facists" and really, it's getting very tiresome.. can i suggest we tone it down please.
think before you post and don't be surprised if you include insults in your post that it will just be deleted.. also, unless you are interested in having a discussion and hearing opposing points of view without getting all pissy about it then don't post !

Actually, I rather hit the W.C. with a "newspaper with good articles" ( read as: Playboy ) and think about how to avoid politics.
i saw a thread recently that asked if you were different from your online persona, most people answered to varying degrees "no".
that made me wonder though how do you view yourself and how do other people view you?
what kind of a person do you feel you project?
I think I have a mix of my "offline" persona with my "online". I mean, I do type what I would say if somebody was present...but the hardest part about "online" is NO voice inflection and facial expressions. I use those tools often to get a point across, and I use irony and sarcasim to do it.
I think I'm a bit more "light hearted and cheerful" offline than online. I tend to tease and joke more offline than online as well.
i was my nephews birthday party tonight.
my sister (who i didnt speak to for 15 years because she was dffd was the hostess).. all was well, and we got to talking about growing up as a kid in the truth.
my mum was there and i admoitted to thinking from as early as i could remember till i was about 20 the "the end" was coming any minute.
Jeeez, does this topic bring back a boatload of memories.
I remember nights when I was a kid I would go over those "armageddon" scenarios...or not sleep at all. 1980 I was 10...by 84 (when I was on my way out) I think I more interested in having fun.
For some reason, I never conjured up those nice pictures of "people sitting with lambs in their yards with the friendly lion looking on". Nah, it was those pictures of people falling into pits and lightning striking building, fire and brimstone pics that always haunted my night sleep when I was a kid.
for anyone who does not live in the us, canada, great britain, europe or australia i don't want you to feel left out.
this might be a short list buy hey we can't leave you out.

You know, I would of sworn I saw CORCAVADO this morning, but I could be mistaken. I mean, there's plenty of statues of Jesus Christ on Mountains overlooking a city like....RIO DE JANEIRO. But it could be me. I guess I'll just go to COPACABANA beach after this weather clears up...will it ever stop raining. I may even invite that GIRL FROM IPANEMA to tag along. We may be able to do the SAMBA on the way.

Well, now I'm officially "single" since I'm "divorced" and yes when I go to the various beaches I look.
When I'm on the street I look.
When I go to a club I look.
Cafe? Yep. I look.

I find the site humorous. Being one that "didn't like it" and DID leave, hey....if they are willing to pay for people who wish to travel to a new adventure? Why not jump on it?
It's not like the U.S. is the "end all, be all of all creation". In fact, no nation on this planet is. It's what you percieve to be "YOUR" home. I kinda like the fact that this entire planet is my home, my only regret is that I live in a period of time where humanity is unable to travel great distances to other worlds.
At least there still SOME exploration left here on this blue marble.
