  whether you are a christian, jew, undecided, agnostic, or atheist, isn't having the attitude that only ***your*** interpretation of the bible could be correct, or only ***you*** know what the bible means, -- .

  isn't this a form of closed-mindedness, arrogance, and a superiority complex?.

  in addition, isn't trying to force someone to conform to ***your*** interpretation of the bible the opposite of "freethinking?

  And FT you were right all along! I now believe the earth is flat. Because it's my freedom of interpretation. And witches should be drowned. Oh what an age of enlightenment you have given us. My mind is open to believe anything. Even if money hungry religious people are pissing on my leg and telling me it's raining. Who am I to say it's not after all right Mr Theism??

  FT I spent 30+ years studying this piece of $HIT book. Everytime I go to the meeting now or listen to these debates. Or watch archeology and history docs I give the bible the same courtesy. "Convince me" you know what? It doesn't. I'm not blinded by belief. I leave my beliefs wide open. But that being said I have to be rational. The bible is easily one of the biggest insults to human rational we have had to experience. It's responsible for great periods of darkness in human history and is behind most of the earths oppression and disgusting acts. I think I've given this book full of garbage, hate, superstition, genocide, rape, racism, slavery, incest, bigotry... should I go on? I have given this book too much credence before and I in all good concious I can honestly say anyone who wants to guide their life by a library of ideas that promote what I mentioned above they can take the thickest version of it and shove it up their righteous @$$. Bible = bad. If it walks like a duck. Quacks like a duck. Swims like a duck....

  FT believe all you want my friend it's your life. You can believe in Santa clause and tooth fairies too if you like. I will do my best not to preach to you and talk you out of it. Because I see you on here preaching like a bible thumping witness and condemning everyone else for bring closed minded. It's epically distasteful. Peace

  FT you completely missed my point. I can't force you to do anything.

  I feel you look at the bible as truth FIRST. Instead of looking at it without bias then deciding if it's truth or not. I'm not forcing you to do anything. I'm just telling you if you can completely let it go. And really look at it from this side. You may or may not go back. That's not forcing. But at least you could rest assured you TRULY saw it from both sides. We've all been on your side. Many for decades. Have you ever been on this end, the view from here is extremely enlightening. Just telling you my experience.

  Getting into a debate about this stuff and wasting all this time is like trying to decide who would win in a fight batman or superman. It's just anecdotal because it's fiction.

  FusionTheism something probably 99.9% of us on here have in common is at one time we took the bible as the infallible word of god... truth. At one point. Some have abandoned it all together. Some still hold on. You are still holding on.

  Since we all gave the bible the courtesy of believing it you should give not believing it some courtesy. Completely look at it from either a neutral standpoint ot fake all together. When you view it as the work of men, believe me the truth in the bible speaks much greater volumes to you, and that truth is its a bunch of rubbish. But you can't ever see thay when you are blinded by bias, when you are afraid the desert god is going to smite you for not believing, that you aren't going to get your own lion petting zoo in paradise. I think you are a sincere person FT and this is not ridicule but grow some balls and look at it for what it is. Just for a whIle. A permanent agnostic is just an atheist without balls. Most all of here that are godless took that trip through agnostism first. Don't get stuck. See it all the way through withou bias, then if you want to go back. OK. But you need to let it all go to see it for what it is. I mean this in all true kindess. Again not trying to belittle you at all.

  Bottom line. All scripture is inspired and beneficial... no? That's in the NT and if I am not mistaken refers to the OT as well. So rape. Murder. Bigotry. Incest. Genocide. Hate. All that lovely stuff from the OT is "good" according the NT in your book of fairy tales.

  * the faithful and discreet slave is only the governing body and only since 1919.. * the faithful slave was appointed in 1919 by jesus but it will not receive its greater authority until the judgment of the sheep and goats.. * charles taze russell was not part of the faithful and discreet slave.. * there was no slave for 1900 years before 1919.. * there may not have been any anointed during those 1900 years, but it's possible there were a few.. * 1935 was not the cut-off date for the selection of the anointed-- this selection is still ongoing.

  * 1935 has no special biblical significance.. * 1918 has no special biblical significance.. * gog of magog is not satan, but is a coalition of nations, who may be ruled by the mysterious king of the north.. * there is no evil slave class.
