at my former hall the young ones are all in totally sheltered even while going to school.

by kairos inthe articles and meeting parts have been missing something all along, as far as i can see.. jws are taught to demonize all 'worldly' ( not jws) organizations, individuals and religions as having no value only to be destroyed by god at 'harm-you-gettin'-( armageddon ).. why do they not mention islam?no scathing denouncements?.
the only publication i really remember, was the "mankind's search for god" book that touched on the beliefs and practices of muslims.. why do you think this is the case?.

I think acknowledging other religions too much highlights the convoluted nature of religion and similarities to themselves. I think their poster religion to attack is Catholicism because they are a big apethetic easy target. The picture of Babylon the great. All others, Islam, other cults like Mormons and Scientology I think they'd just rather ignore because its to complicated to complain about what makes them bad when its the same thing as the jws. -

This is something that I told my wife a while ago when waking up. That just the mere idea of 'God' creates such confusion, violence, and other "fruits" if you will, how can it be good? It's not one single doctrine, its this Abrahamic bully god. If people took away what they want form the bible without influence form any religion, if they believe it, the take away would be bad. -

i'm good at being a witness, i am accepted, and hold the same beliefs, i have tried to find somewhere else, if there is a place, why hav'n't jehovah and the angels directed me to it?
thank you for all the loving posts, some of them have been just what i needed.

To sledracerI will try not to be negative about this as your choice seems genuine and honest. The most important thing is too be honest and live your life as your true self, you seem pretty convinced JW you is the real you. I know some people that if they weren't JW might be drug addicts lying in a gutter or dead, it does happen, some people need to be told what to do. Hell, there are some people who can't function outside the walls of a prison, but inside they are at home. Freedom aint for everyone.

To others who read this I would just say this, Trying to be "worldly" may still be trying to be something you are not. You should find out who you are and be that person.There is beauty in the struggle if you don't give up. Religion is a social technology that runs on fear, when you stop being afraid you do see it as a prison you were in. If you don't really want out, you'll never really leave.

At times in his younger days I really did not like him. But there is no denying his greatness and his over all contribution to the game. His career had a great conclusion and I gotta hand it to him.
It was historic night with Kobe closing out his career and the warriors making history with 73 regular season wins. Curry hitting over 400 3's in a regular season. Great night for basketball.
