I just received a LOVELy letter from Trevor
by mouthy inin answer to the one i sent him..i had sent him some christian tracts .which he admits he has little use for spiritual things ( which i can understand bless him) but he did say he wouldnt throw them away one day maybe!!!.
he said that he agreed with me that an apology is truly in order ,& wanted to take this time & the opportunity to offer an unreserved apology for his conduct on jwd,of which he is both ashamed & embarrassed to everyone there /\....he also added he wished you all a very happy christmas.. .
he added that he has not been on jwd since ....thought i would let you all know.. so any who do pray .

Granny and Others who have forgiven Trevor, i admire your ability to do so. We all make mistakes, we have all lied and continue to but not once have i ever taken things so far as to pretend someone existed, i didn't make the extra effort to make that person loved by all and i didn't kill them off and cause everyone heartache. Do not be so quick to forget the disturbing Photograph he sent to Ian, it doesn't shout out 'ordinary' or someone wanting forgiveness.
I shall reserve my full opinion on trevor, especially in this thread Granny Grace because i respect your decision and who you are. However i do not respect Trevor. I claim to be Christian but i do not know if i could honestly see trevor and react in a decent way - that is not a threat, it is a thought.
BTW - just something i meant to say, i do think your very kind, loving and gentle and i wish that someday i could have the same patience you have...are you sure your not another one of the trevor trinity?

at the end of the conversation, he says, "you know dagney, we need to have the conversation...the one about meetings...i want to see you in the new system....i think about you every day, everyday!!".

It sometimes works to play 'depressed' say right now your in the process of a clinical diagnosis and your just trying to get by as it is - think about it though first because it may be the wrong card to play in this situation. You might need to also play him by saying you know its the truth etc

Primary Concern(s) for Witnesses

Have elders lost power they once had over the flock?

I think that that the vast majority of Witnesses are putting on a front anyway and that most of the Witnesses who are in the Organization now have been in a long time, the whole thing is stagnant and without putting down the experiences - people are fed-up of it. Elders represent the Organization and its authority in each Kingdom Hall, if you don't respect the Organization you won't respect the Elders (or at least their position) either.

It is true that we must be doing something right, otherwise this place and many like it wouldn't exist, i think you made an excellent point about how the Society is a rod for its own back, its own worst enemy and the more it tries to undo this mess the worse it gets because of course there is a trail.

We know that these days information on just about everything is widely available. One or two clicks, a Google Search and a hole is blown in the Watchtower Society's Cover. I remember once, on the weekend i was staying at my Dad's i was searching for the Watchtower Society website when i found an 'apostate' site. Nearly eight years on, i come to this Site. Maybe the site i visited that day planted a seed, i remember my terror when i realised where i'd ended up, i worried that somehow i'd be discovered for my sin and my mind was racing running over the lies i'd been told - perhaps the apostates could somehow see me?
The Society uses various tactics to limit Damage to its already near sunken Vessel, if something cannot be defended its taught its members to smear individuals that pose a threat.
Atheist or Believers we are all Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses - people like us have seen through the clouds of smoke, the corruption and lies and have seen something that we probably didn't want to believe was true and all we've taken is punishment for it. We've been hurt emotionally and we were left to pick-up the pieces.
So how do we get back at the Society in a constructive manner and 'free peoples minds'?
I think simply being happy does work, i agree with that but i also believe we need to be vocal. In the confused mind of each and every Jehovah's Witness is a door and behind that door is the dawning realization that the Society are wrong, that they are wrong. It takes guts to admit it.
Realization is a long and slow process that from the Pro-Witness standpoint is like a virus eating away at us when actually its the death of what was and the beginning of the real you, the person you are supposed to be. Thank God we stuck that out because technically the cleverly engineered lies from the Society are supposed to be fool proof.
We take a risk by being vocal about what we've discovered i admit, but some of us have seen the benefits of taking that chance. For example an old friend of mine who i am partially responsible for coming into the 'truth' has since left, he and i met properly again only yesterday and its like he never went in the religion. The reasons he left were different from mine so i am happy to know that the only problem he has is the wasted time and he's doing his best to make up for that. His family cannot accept he's happy now he's without the Organization as his prop, afterall he is living with a woman who has children from a previous marriage but honestly i've never seen someone so content with his life.

Should Jehovah's Witnesses honestly expect people to Respect their Beliefs?

(the rest of that percentage are here lol).. is this why the society put so much emphasis on the joys of persecution in the name of jehovah?
because they know that it is being done for all the 'right' reasons?

Also; with the latest Blood Transfusion disaster with Emma - Should she of expected her needs to be met fully in such difficult circumstances and who do you feel the blame lies with? I ask openly for both sides of this arguement. My view is, if her Religion didn't have such stupid rules in the first place that this situation wouldn't of even occur.
