A pioneer NOT underlining answers in her WT and then having the courage to raise her hand and comment, knowing full well the brother holding the mic will see that she did not study ahead!!!! Wow, now that's wild!!

Birthday card from my uncle!
by THE SHOOTIST inthis week on jan.11 i turned the big 55, you know, senior citizen stuff.
i'm not real happy about the age but life if good.
i been out of the jws now for 5 years with no contact from witness relatives.

I'm so happy for you Shootist!! I, too, had to ask for forgiveness from my two df'd relatives (a brother and a cousin) for not talking to them. They were so kind and saw no need for forgiveness. They have been a TREMEMDOUS support for me while newly 'out'. My cousin got me my first Xmas gifts this past holiday and has invited me over for every holiday this year!
I was thinking the other day that when I talk to him and/or my brother we all naturally say "i love you" to each other and sincerely mean it. All of my witness relatives my whole life never said that to each other. My mother NEVER said I love you to us. Now I feel such a special bond and love with my brother and cousin.
I, too, have worldly relatives I need to look up and get re-aquainted with. Thanks for inspiring me to do it. Your story was so moving, it brought me to tears. I am so happy for you and your uncle! Isn't it amazing that these horrible, 'worldly' people that we were always warned against and kept away from can be so kind, supportive, good, humble, loving, intelligent and wonderful people?!

Check this out! my first act of "rebellion"...
by freedomlover inwell, not really rebellion but that i've wanted one of these for a long time so i went and did it today, and i love it!
my little sister came out for a visit this weekend and i told her everything about leaving the jw's.
she has pretty much left about 6 months ago when she went away to college.

Pre Armageddon Preparation.
by Clam inare there jws who prepare for the tribulations they assume are around the corner?
when i visted the us once in 1999 i met a few guys who were expecting a global meltdown due to the millenium bug.. as a consequence they had generators, guns, ammo, tins of food, bottled water, fuel, all kinds of stuff to help them through a civil disorder situation.
does anyone know or remember any jws who have prepared like this?

My aunt got upset with me because I didn't want to learn to sew....
she said there would be resurrection survivors who needed clothes
made for them! I told her she could make them for them.....Will there be electricity for the sewing machine? or will they do
it by hand??? Oh well, at least she's thinkin ahead!! -

All you ever read about or heard bragged about was that they had Read Gods Word the Bible Daily!

Should Jehovers Witnesses use Heinz 57 products?
by Elsewhere inthe other night i was listening to npr on the radio while driving home and i heard a very interesting piece of information... the "57" in the heinz 57 brand came from occult sources!
the container says "heinz 57 varieties" but the number was never meant to literally mean they had 57 varieties of products, instead the numbers 5 and 7 have occult meaning.. i looked around on the internet and found these articles:.
