Why didn't Jesus Give Instructions for a Bible?

matt: 24:14 .."and this good new of the kingdom will be preached in all the earth as a witnesss to all the nations - and then the end will come".. jesus plan was that by the time he was to return, the earth would be schooled as to who and what he was.

suppose you were going to leave the planet for 2000 years and you wanted the entire earthly society of people who would be alive when you returned to know about you.

would you tell someone to write down all your words of truth since these words would produce salvation and eternal life to all who believed in you........or would you tell a handful of diciples or say even 500 buddies to spread your words to their children and down through the succeding generations?.

Gumby, the entire bible is about Jesus in general.

The scriptures, the bible is about things that happened before Jesus became flesh and after His death and ascension into heaven.

His disciples were chosen especially to write and spread the news or preach the gospel of Christ - all with the same material, same good news!

That is the pattern to be followed.

The bible foretells of the changes which would occur. These changes include the corrupting of the truth to suit man's perversed needs. And it is taking place right now. These things are coming to pass as the bible predicted.

My Wife.... Ughh

i don't know how many times i have shown my wife from the societies own literature the fallacies of the past but it still doesn't convince her.

just just shrugs it off and says "at least they were humble enough to admit they are wrong.".

it blows me away cuz i reason and say "what if they are wrong now, if we questioned it we would be expelled.." .

Now JW go to their elders to ask them what to say to non-believers. Isn't that right?

They wouldn't take it upon themselves to get into Word of Truth (the bible) and show you.
