  In that passage, "Jesus says it is necessary for someone to free him finally from his human body, and he prefers that this liberation be done by a friend rather than by an enemy," said Rodolphe Kasser, a clergyman, a former professor at the University of Geneva in Switzerland and head of the translation team.

  "So he asks Judas, who is his friend, to sell him out, to betray him. It's treason to the general public, but between Jesus and Judas, it's not treachery."

  The text is expected to be controversial because it contradicts nearly 2,000 years of Christian thou

  i always felt unique from everyone else.

  being a jw i never quite felt like i was from the same planet as all the other school children.

  as a jw i fit in, but still not quite, as i was a bit too indepentdant a thinker.

  my boyfriend and i are gettin pretty serious.

  before we met he was never in a committed relationship and believed marriage was just a piece of paper that helped during tax season.

  then he meets me and suddenly i catch him online looking at rings.

  It is menial work, but I'm making an effort to be satisfied with it. At least I'm not mentally exhausted when I come home, and I can concentrate on my personal study of the Bible.

  O rly? XD!!!

  Give me a break, noticed how that person mentioned that even though it's menial, they don't like it, but they'll grin and bear it. I don't miss that dogma not one BIT!

  Just finished Crisis of Conscience (first time), now I understand why...

  i have just completed crisis of conscience.

  now i understand why my father, the co, the wts and every other elder who came to my home asked if i had read the book.. i had not.

  however, the argumentation stylesup to and including the focus in my letters on the paired issues of candor and humilityas well as the bulk of the scriptures used by brother franz and others were present in my letters.. this shows their hubris to an even greater degree.

  He says he can't stay in a relationship with me if it is not going anywhere. It is very hard on him (not being able to meet the parents, me never being able to sleep over and what not) and I don't want him to slip away because of my own fear of failure.

  Think about that statement for a minute. And for you, you are in a situation that is deep as well, just being a witness while being unplugged from the collective is hard, and going to school and trying to juggle a relationship with someone on the outside as well? You need to seriously talk to him about your situation, and how it is for you. Even if he does'nt understand which in all 90% of the time they really don't, but at least you told him and emphasized that you love him and care for him as that man in your life, and you won't trade his love for anything. And if he really IS understanding, he'll embrace you and sees you as one worth waiting for. Which I think that you are.

  Communication is really important, don't allow yourself to be painted in to a corner.

  Many years ago I was...don't to what i did. Get your life together FIRST.
