The Purpose of Life: Is to procreate.
The Meaining of LIfe: Is up to each of us to define for ourselves, individually.
I've just turned 48. I have not procreated. I am struggling to define the meaning of or in my life.
Is it just me?

ok, as some of you know, i was suppose to have a "study" with my mom and an elders wife yesterday.
well, the elders wife couldn't make it because "something came up".
i guess it was more important than my salvation.. anyway, i still went to my parents house.
This is the question I will ask any JW that crosses my path (Note: I've been living in the same house for eight years and no JW has showed up on my doorstep. And it's a middle-class, safe neighborhood. And there's a Kingdom Hall less than five miles away):
My question: Is the WTS inspired/directed by God, the only channel by which God deals with mankind?
If they answer YES, then my comeback is, "So why have there been so many failed predictions/flip-flops in teachings in the past? Certainly, divine inspiration would not have allowed this."
If they answer NO, then my comeback is, "So why on earth would you follow and support an organization that has been wrong in each and every past prediction and continously flip-flops on various teachings?"
I asked my JW brother (and I mean my actual blood brother) the above question a few years ago, and he quickly changed the subject.
say something philosophical and deep so that we can all benefit from what you're going to say.
Watch your step, there's dogshit everywhere.
does anyone out there have any wise words for us to live by?
a favorite motto?
please share your wisdom if you don't mind.

s. g. swain has finally put his novel on the web.
it's called warren grubber's guts.
it's a coming-of-age story about a 14 year old kid growing up in virginia as a jw.

if witnesses really think their version of a funeral talk is a good way to give a witness ...think again.
...oh yea i also was really pissed how your funeral turned out...while i was sitting there ...kept sayin to each other how much we hated it and how pissed we were that he was sayin all that shit.. .
i miss you so much.
I have never been to a JW funeral. I was raised a JW, but was never baptized, and faded about 20 years ago. My mother is a JW and my older brother is a JW. If either of them go before I do, I will definitely insist on speaking at the funeral, as a rebuttal to whatever borg stuff is spewed. Not looking forward to that day.
my jw friend seems to be unusually immature when it comes to relationships and women.
i don't think he's ever had a serious relationship with a woman (he's 23).
he uses the terms "womens" when he speaks about women, and he uses the word "boobies.
Years ago it was not uncommon for a young sister to hook a young brother by giving him his first BJ. Don't know about these days.
tell us which songs helped you when you left....it might be something others choose to listen to.. one of mine:.
"i don't believe" by skunk anansie.
cold blood, broken smile that is all that i have to give.
"Takin' It To The Streets" by the Doobie Brothers.
"You don't know me but I'm your brother, I was raised here in this living hell..."
I think it was Mark Twain who said, "Every man [or woman] is a moon and has a dark side that he [she] shows to no one."
In that sense, we are all Moonies, I guess.
.
what would be the main reasons why the witnesses think that they alone have the truth?
.
They think they have the truth because they are incapable of thinking.
