Baptism for the dead
by M.J. inwhat on earth was paul talking about in 1 cor 15:29: "now if there is no resurrection, what will those do who are baptized for the dead?
if the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized for them?".
it's one of his main arguments for a bodily resurrection to the corinthians.

by Woodsman in(numbers 31:17-18) 17 and now kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has had intercourse with man by lying with a male.
18 and preserve alive for yourselves all the little ones among the women who have not known the act of lying with a male.
the more i read between the lines the more disturbing it all gets.

Jephtah's daughter - human sacrifice or not?

judges chapter 11.. if you read vers 31 it looks clear that jephtha is speaking about human sacrefice.
"he speaks about a burn offering for jehovah of the first thing or person that walks out of his house.

ALL SCRIPTURE 'INSPIRED' BY GOD......
by Mary inthis doesn't make alot of sense to me, because the word "inspire" can have alot of different meanings, as i've copied from the merriam-webster online dictionary below.
while i definitely believe in god, i think that #5 is probably closer to the truth.
if i write a book or a song and say i was inspired by elvis, that doesn't mean that elvis wrote it or even approved it-----it simply means that i wrote it with him in mind.

of course the beast's "number" is "666" -- but that's not it's "name".
