Attention former elders and ms: I have a question.

Well MAD you're one reason I discourage my wife from this site ...you see she's the victim of a JW Elder for years when she was little ,and since we've been married and dealt with the WTS over this for many years, we know that what other victims have to say about the way the WTS treated them is dead correct for we have experienced the futility of trying to co-exist in this religion with the perpetrator being treated as innocent and being protected by the local Elders .

They have even gone to the extent of threatening a dear old pioneer sister with dismissal from her "privelege" for even mentioning pedophilia locally occuring ,and especially my wifes case!

The perpetrator was arrested some time ago but is on bail pending evidence accumulation etc and the witnesses in his hall are none the wiser to him being a pervert.

He's even had book studies at his home and helped with quick builds since he was turned in to a commitee over twelve years ago. As has been noted here alot of JW's are like ostrichs because the truth challenges their faith,so they turn their backs on those that need christian love more than anyone!

If my wife read your post she would be made sick I'm sure and I thank Simon for restricting your blind and cruel words to those damaged by WTS policy.

It may be true when JW's say they did'nt personally cause the perverted damage ,but then saying you are part of a loving worldwide organisation of brotherly love and then denying any voice and justice to victims within ,even to the point of silencing them with threats of disfellowshipping is just as perverted to me ....you ignorant foolish person ...does God really have compassion for you now!

when i was in the borg, i had no idea of the stories my grandparents (both wwii vets) were telling me.

now that i've done my tour, and can relate to some the stories that these 'weirdo war vets' have told me, i'm starting to get it.

The Trinity ( arguement to end all arguments I hope )

i pretty much don't think much of christendom.

but why do christians insist on holding such an unholdable position with the trinity.. the bible i agree holds proof for both trinity and nontrinity positions.. i still don't get why that christians other than catholics would hold such an untenable position as god came down to earth but didn't, and he prayed ( talked ) to himself a lot.. .

i remember a comedy sketch were some kids were stumping a nun in catholic school with question on the trinity and the eurachrist..

Hard then is'nt it ,to search for the so called right christian religion and have total confidence in it, and accept it when faced with that at the very core of christianity is this mish mash of explaining god who christians hold up as the the great revealer of secrets?

With so many highly intelligent scholastic people in history having examined the bible ,and we still see there's no agreement on who god really is ,what hope do us ordinary people of this planet have in picking up the bible ,reading it ,and then confidently say .....yes this is god and I "know" him?

Wife finally sees truth about "the truth"

well it has finally happened.my wife is not going back to the meetings again.as you would probably read in my previous posts, i have written a book about my experience in the watchtower organisation which is on the verge of being published.she still tried to cling to what little belief she had in the borg and did not want to read my manuscript.we discussed many of the issues and concerns i had about the watchtower but most of the times it ended in a heated argument.. i was quite surprised when she approached me about two weeks ago and asked to read my manuscript.after reading it she handed it back to me and said she fully supports me in publishing this book.her eyes have been opened to the deception and lies.i think she and a friend had a bad experience calling on one of her so-called jw friends.furthermore, she did not attend this past weekends circuit assembly..

hooray!!!.

all i have to do now is to introduce her to all you wonderful people here on jwd.. jakes.

30 years later I've grown a beard again

this is one thing that bugged me about "the lie" ,when they came down hard on men who had grown facial hair in the 8o's ( and womens adornment,clothes etc).

a ms at the time had a beard and grizzled about shaving it off but did after the talk at the assembly, he's an elder now but i wonder whether he chafes a bit at the taking away of ones personal freedom to grow something that god gave us men.. i never grew one when a jw for i was a drone i guess ,but with alot of small things over the years this did irritate me and seemed just a way the gov body controlled our lives by taking away a natural thing in life .it's not like men would have beaded,braided or let it grow to look like a feral and be unclean and untidy.. and we have paul saying in 1 cor 10 that he became all things to others to gain them to christ - well what about beards ?

is there anything more natural?

In Jesus time the fashion for Romans was to shave but there's no records of all Christians shaving, and then we have the 20th century starting with the JW leaders bearded and then it becomes fashionable amongst ordinary men to shave , so what does the Society do? it adopts this fashionable worldly model of the American business type and wants all men to shave.

"And brother your spirituality is in question ,and you cannot have privileges for you are wearing a beard which is a symbol of rebellion and how do you think brother it would be to householders if we went to their doors bearded?"

Well shit I reckon they might listen as they can see we are normal people instead of an American religious/business model walking around up in the sky with God looking down on the trashy demonic people of the land!

Well I grew one not to thumb it in the nose of JW's but to express my natural being becoming relaxed gradually after leaving that cult!

Hell it's gray now though ,when it used to be lustrous black , but hey it seems to belong to me and echos the passing years ,and do you know what? people don't treat me any different than before and my wife loves it!

What do we really know about Jehovah?

i started making a list of what we really know about jehovah from the bible.

see if you can add to the list.. 1. likes to take afternoon walks, especially when it's breezy.. 2. likes the smell of roasting animals.. 3. likes dancing and singing but doesn't necessarily dance and sing himself.. 4. can write a little bit, though only with one finger.

usually gets humans to write for him instead.. 5. seems to like cheap magic tricks, like talking donkeys and magic burning bushes.. 6. always resorts to violence to solve problems instead of dialogue or diplomacy.. 7. he can reproduce asexually.. 8. he likes to be called father and he has sons, but his "wife" is a group of sexless spirits, who are also his sons.. any more??.

He had his oldest apostle write a book of Revelation that would start by saying that all things in it would happen shortly,and then have that book explained by a publishing company some 1900 years ,later then have certain parts of that explanation changed again and again ,to show god is really like the rest of us.
