Talk about fishy!
by Sparkplug ini am trying to keep my diet healthy seeing i was in the hospital and had to eat light and also cleanse my system for that dang surgery.
so tonight, seeing i could get nobody to do anything more than just to drive me to the store, i decided to have fish.
so i made a salad from a cut mix of radishes and carrots, snap peas and green types.

You will just feel better and better, with more energy than you had in a long time. It was the best thing I ever did! Without that monthly energy sap, you'll feel so good, and if you gradually add exercise every day, you won't put on weight. I did have a problem with tiring easily when I first went back to work. Don't go back too soon. I recommend the Hystersisters website, for good message boards and stories and advice. You're doing great!
Since you almost feel like you're starting a new life, it's a logical time to start eating healthier too. Good for you!

I want to send out lots of cards, and would love to get some too! How do I get on the list? Any who want a card from me, please PM me with an address, or can we all get on an updated list? Is someone in charge of this?

Do you remember giving talks?
by klydia ini'm trying to remember the process for giving a talk.
i remember getting a slip with a topic on it, but what else was on that slip?
did it tell you what scriptures you should cite, or what book the talk was based on?

I remember, arriving at the Hall, waiting for Sister Nevergivesmethetimeofday, will she show up, or do I have to get Mom again? Heart thumping as you're up next, trying to arrange your skirt modestly as you take your seat on the metal folding chair. The microphone squawks and screeches if you get too close, embarassing. Sister Toosnootytorehearse jumps way ahead on her lines and you try to save the day.
Nerve racking, is putting it mildly, and then the pressure to do an excellent job, just because you're elder's family. Ugh! I finally got so stressed out, I quit. My Dad found out about it from the school overseer. i promised I'd just take a break and come back. Still on break, 20 years later, haha!

Lost filling is chilling!
by Virgochik inoh, god, people, i knew what it was as soon as i chomped down on it.
yep, there's no mistaking that hunk of filling when you chew on it.
does anyone else dread going to the dentist?

shelly, they're having me take prescription Halcion tablets to make me feel drowsy and warm and fuzzy before the appointment. I'll let you know if it works for a big crybaby like me. Maybe it could help you get through it, too.
XU, i've got Delta Dental thru Kaiser Permanente, and they pay 50 to 80 percent, not too bad. But still a lot of money before (gasp) Christmas!

Aw, have a heart, LHG! The filling is about 20 years old, and a chunk cracked and came out. No, it's really not pain I fear, because I've never had a bad experience with that. I just don't like choking on the water and the hose, and the smell, and squirming in the chair for 2 hours. Anyway, a lady at work steered me to a sweet woman dentist that her daughter works with, so I went today for an x-ray. I'm lucky to be getting away with a crown and no root canal. When I return in 2 weeks, I'll take a couple of sedative tablets, and they assure me I won't care about a thing!
Except the bill maybe. $1350, $570 of which is my share to pay.
But, yes, I should go for preventive visits. I know I'm not alone here, in putting those off!

My story - part 2 :-) This time its not so jumbled
by Zed ini'm slowly beginning to think that much of what we do is led by something, or at least prompted by something.
since i moved to the se i began to indulge in things that i enjoyed - mostly it was playing rpg's both computer based and the real 'nasty, evil, satan worshipping' pen and paper types.
i remember how, when i first expressed an interest in playing dungeons and dragons when i was about 12 - 13yrs old my study conductor pulled out the article in the asleep (i think it was) that ran through why it was evil!!!

Zed, were you frightened when you saw the white woman in your bedroom? was it an ominous presence, or a comforting one?

Lol, Jayhawk, I was thinking...if a crown is about 800 dollars, and a whole set of dentures around 2000, it'd be cheaper to just have them all pulled! Maybe fillings and crowns aren't lasting longer because there's money to be made! And I'm too vain to want dentures. But it'd make more sense, wouldn't it? That's ridiculous, a filling lasting such a short time. I'd be upset, too! Will the dentist fix it for free? I guess there's no warranty on teeth, is there?

Oh, god, people, I knew what it was as soon as I chomped down on it. Yep, there's no mistaking that hunk of filling when you chew on it. Does anyone else dread going to the dentist? That burning smell as they drill away yoour molar, and the suction thingy and water thingamajiggy really get me stressed. How do others stay calm, when it can drag on for 2 hours? Any tips to sidetrack my mind are appreciated. I've got an appointment tomorrow. And do they have to recline the chair so far back?
It's hell getting old. Some of my fillings must be 20 years old!
