20,000 christmas lights on the house, rein deers in my yard and 20" Christmas tree in my house
That, right there, would be the most awesome DA letter in and of itself. Almost like a big middle finger to the borg. "FU, I'm having fun."

WYSIWYG = What you see is what you get.
Try this one:
PONTIAC
graphically and accurately portrayed bible accounts from other points of view?
let's face it, movies have a greater impact than books.
it pains me to say this since i like to pretend i can write, but that is just the way it is.
It would be an excellent idea. No JW would see it due to the graphic violence and the sex. Things that we are suppose to hate....
Heh. Funny how JWs can't watch R-rated movies, but what rating would the accounts in the Bible get...

I decree and declare that this child is either possessed or brainwashed.
Also, I already believe in god. Several of them, in fact.

at work, in field service, at home, when i'm outside doing my walk.

Was it during the meeting? They may have thought you were texting, perhaps?
there was quite a debate on another post about the increase/decrease throughout the wt history surrounding 1975 and subsequent time periods when ther have been major adjustments in doctrine.
it was said that the stasticis from 1965-1985 do not reflect a massive defection, despite the failure of the wt's prophecy for the end of the wicked system of things by 1975. .
i see the overlapping generation as another potention issue to cause fallout.
Me. I remain in for the sake of my mother and stepfather, for whom I care deeply.
I honestly see no hope of awakening them. They have been through hell and still cling to "the troof", as below:
My stepfather suffers from bipolar and severe chronic back problems, among other things. At one point, he was basically screwed over in a business dealing with another brother and nothing was ever done about it. Because of his health, lately he could not make meetings regularly and had low field service. Because of this, he was removed as a MS, had other privelages revoked, and has been basically treated like shit by the local elders. This has also put considerable emotional strain on my mother. Despite all this, they still cling to this religion and are convinced that the local elders are simply "bad elders" and not representative of the borganization as a whole. *sigh*
Luckily, none of my extended family on my mother's or my natural father's side are Witlesses (although just about all of my stepfather's are) and I communicate regularly with them via FB, which is helpful in keeping sane.
the recent & surprising developments in the uk and australia got me thinking..... the governing body of jehovah's witnesses is nothing if not arrogant.
they consider themselves "god's channel of communication", stopping just short of claiming divine inspiration.
they believe that they and they alone are the masters of "christ's belongings" and are answerable only to him.. the watchtower society's legal department carefully crafts gb decisions so as not to put the watchtower society's assets or prestige as risk.
... as would taxing religion. As society becomes more and more secular, religion does not hold the priveleged position it once did in the hearts of many. If the economy continues downwards, I do believe the governments will begin to eye all the wealth that is owned by the world's religions.
