JW's ruin my dinner.

i took my family to red lobster tonight and shortly after we were seated ( it was about 5 pm- early) a large party came in and took up two tables next to us.

one young woman had a very loud laugh and because of that i kept looking at their table.

then i noticed a young black couple with a toddler- then i noticed all the men had suits and ties- then i noticed three single men were sitting together and three single women next to them- and finally one young couple that i decided were married.

Nothing! I believe nothing they say, or what they taught me. The Jdubs are like the Pharisees in today's world. I have been reading, and reading books by ex jdubs that have original bible quotes that have been changed by the WTS.

They are lying, brain washing scoundrels!

Leaving without the internet.

my husband mentioned to me this morning that he was glad i had this resource and some support to help me through this.

he also made the comment: can you imagine trying to leave without the internet?

that got me thinking, it is hard now, how much harder was it back then, before the internet.

I was out for only one year until I found this site. It was hard because I bumped into Jdubs almost everday, I still do. Since I found this place, I am sooooooo much more relaxed, I don't dread going to the store or anything anymore. It really helps. Only today, I was told no more on line at work

Don't get the phone... it's Satan!

my mom always warned her new studies that satan would take notice right away that they were studying the truth.

she would give examples, so they would recognize the devil's activities for what they were.

sure enough, the phone rang during a study just as mom asked the lady to read a scripture.

Oh my gosh, that was said at my book study almost every week! The phone always rang at least once, and that was always the excuse!

Is Christ the mediator for all people?

At the final judgement, will we be judged by membership in an organzation or individually? (does membership in an org really count)

What are the requirements in the Bible that call out a true religion?

Have the Jehovah's Witnesses been selected as the one true religion?

When did they get selected?

Matthew 24:45-47 (NWT) states: "Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time? Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so. Truly I say to YOU, He will appoint him over all his belongings."

According to the WTS, the Jehovah's Witnesses were selected as the only religion somewhere around 1918, after his invisible presence began in 1914.

In 1914 what were the Bible Students (present day Jehovah's Witnesses) teaching about the return of Christ? (he returned in 1874 - can get this info from the proclaimers book - was the 1940s when the date was changed to 1914, one other book says 1930s) - even more interesting is Lukes parallel story adds in 12:37 (NWT) "Happy are those slaves whom the master on arriving finds watching! Truly I say to YOU, He will gird himself and make them recline at the table and will come alongside and minister to them.", but if in 1914 they believed that Christ returned in 1874, they were not watching for his return.

Were birthdays and Christmas celebrated in 1918?

Until 1931 the cross and crown appeared on the cover of the Watch Tower magazine.

In the 11/15/80 Watchtower said that during WWI (1914-1918) the Jehovah's Witnesses sold themselves because of wrong practices and came into bondage of the world empire of false religion.

In the New Testament, whose name shall be called on for salvation?

Is the anointed class sealed? When was the anointed class sealed? Where is this in the Bible?

What has the Watchtower taught about the United Nations?

The Watchtower Society has changed its blood policy over the years. If this policy is based on the Bible, what has changed in the Bible?

How can organ transplants be then allowed since an organ contains whole blood?

Are any of the Old Testament prophets in the anointed class?

If Jesus returned in 1914, why do the anointed partake in the elements, when in 1 Cor 11, vs 26 it states "...until he arrives.".

Why is communion only for the anointed?

Where does the Bible call out meeting requirements for Christians?

I can tell you her answer would vary from day to day! Most likely she would meet a pastor, but I am not so sure about a cult expert, but could never be sure, especially if she is fully convinced there is nothing cultic about the jws.
