I think there are a lot of members that aren't in because they believe its real. I think my dad is that way. He came to visit me and he went out with me and my worldly boyfriend to Famous Daves (restaurant) and sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks with us. I am still in, although I don't go to the meetings regularly because I live about an hour away. But I just thought that it was interesting because my dad would've never done that if my mother were there. So I am starting to think that he's only in because of her, but he won't admit it out loud.

It is really hard leaving. My parents have changed a lot this past year and they've been really nice and understanding. Its actually quite odd, so it will be a little harder leaving than before. I am ready to move on, I am not going to DA myself, I am just hoping to move away and come home when I need to.
I don't really have many friends in the religion right now, so that won't be an issue. When I got reinstated, I made sure I kept a distance from everyone. But I can't imagine it being extremely easy for anyone leaving because most people who are in have families that they love and want to be around.

I do not know a lot of people in the area, and I would like to make friends so I can have some things to do when I am not working. Hopefully, if our application gets accepted (dont want to jinx it) for the apt, we will be moving next weekend. And I really would love to meet people in the area. This is going to be great starting over!
Also if you know of any places where I can get some cheap living room furniture that would be great. My roommate and I have kitchen furniture and bedroom stuff and an entertainment center for our living room, but we don't have any couches or anything. Please let me know if you of any discount stores or anyone who has some decent furniture on sale. Thank you so much!!!!

Got home from the meeting the other day and couldn't stop crying

but i go for my own reasons, i explained these a while back when i first posted on here.
he's a jw, but we are like brothers so he contacts me sometimes and it makes me feel a little better.

it's been so long i don't even know where to begin...... well... i guess it all began here at jwd... the beauty of it all, it that this is not a dating website, and the very fact that i was falling in love with a person whom i had no idea of her physical appearance... i was falling for her inner beauty and strenght to leave everything she knew to be happy, to live life.... i had finally met a person who understood me, and i could relate to her stories.... i had met my new best friend, but didn't know it yet... things progressed..... we emailed (which later led to unsolicited photos from her).... then exchanged phone numbers, etc..... then before i know it she had convinced me to purchace an airplaine ticket to meet her.

BIG ELDERS MEETING ON THE BLOOD ISSUE! SHOCKING CHANGES AFOOT!?
by Gill ini have just been informed that something is going in with the blood issue within the borg.. a large meeting is being held this weekend with local elders and also many elders from all over the country/the united kingdom and members from the bethel and hospital liason committee to discuss the blood issue.. is anyone else aware of what this is going to be about?.
i wondered whether this would be part of the expected or possible changes that the organization is expected to announce this year that might lose them many members.
any elders here know anything?.

No, I don't know whats going on, but at my parents bookstudy this morning, the elder asked my dad to take care of his DPA because he's changing his information because of the blood thing - I was only half listening. I should've been paying more attention.
